Description
Reiteration of an earlier iteration. Thanks for the feedback on the last one, helped a lot with this new version. New vocal performances and parts, new guitar parts, new mix and other new stuff. If you've heard the last version let me know if this is a step in the right direction. If this is your first listen, i'd love to hear your thoughts, comments, critiques etc.

Lyrics
INTO The NIGHT
by Ray Kainz

You make me wonder
You make me blue
You make me see red
as you spread your truth

you have your parties
you play your games
you say whay they want to hear
with no shame

but I see right through the wool
that you pull over their eyes
all the thoughtless faces
never question why

drink your tea put it on ice
make it all nice
shoot your gun have your fun
who pays the price?
when it's too late you'll take the bait
in the name of Christ
so party down fools and clowns
deep into the night

you make me wonder
you make me blue
you make me see red
as you spread false truth

but I see right through the wool
that you pull over their eyes
as the righteous lead the blind
all liberty dies

Protest song eh?
How strange that you and Maurice should post songs on a similar subject on the same day. Spooky eh?

I really like this. Great lyrics and a confident vocal.

As I said to Maurice - "Good stuff"!

Cheers

Bring up those BVs
This version sounds more polished than the first one, for sure, but I like the way those backing vox own their own space in the first one. I also think the lead vocal needs to get a little more dynamic, -a little more demanding- after 2:14 or so (a little less "all nice", if you know what I mean).
You write solid songs, you show great discipline in your arrangements and your production is untouchable. Cut loose a bit in that lead vocal and this'd be a fucking freight train.

Very cool tune. Great playing and mix. I want to hear your lead vocals a little more out front 'cause the song kicks and so should the vocals.
Good stuff man!

great chorus
a sloan chorus and a ben kweller verse and bridge. cool. really like the slow down toward the end and then the vamp with the lead noodling. this is my first listen, and i'd call it done. mix is great - punchy and all the sounds have space - sounds sweet.

Cool mix Ray
I'm in a good alt pop place at the moment, having just listened to Pie's new radio friendly version of "Coalesce". This is a fitting song to follow with - it has a less complex structure of course, but is still a very satisfying listen. Lovely production, and really good performances (especially vocally) - maybe the lead voc could come up a tad, but it's not a biggie. I can't hear anything but pro alt pop - a great post!
Cheers from Oz,
Neil
