Description
This is a live peace from a rehearsal session with my band (DEF-11), it's a three peace band, bass player/drummer/guitarist. I play guitar and sing in this song... Just curious what people think of this... There are some mistakes, but hey that's the way it goes in rehearsal. Maybe you have some suggestions??

Lyrics
Lay down,

Lay down on you’re pillow,
lay down on you’re bed
If the night becomes to shiny,
Just take a deep breath

I’ll stay here till morning,
to make you releave.
Please don’t stop breathing
Cause I love you deeply.

If end is coming, an end must come near
never surrender, please stay here my dear
I told you all my stories but I’ll find some more
so please stay a bit longer to share you’re little war.

Lay down on you’re pillow,
lay down on you’re bed
If the night becomes to shiny,
Just take a deep breath

I’ll stay here till morning,
to make you releave.
Please don’t stop breathing
Cause I love you deeply

I love live recordings ...and this sound good ..tight playing ..good dynamics and arrangement ..true there are some mistakes but this is what you get from live performance ..I d like much echo on the voice and higher volume level for it as well a bit ..man to play on a Trio is always hard to have the rhythm space filled (as my band is trio as well) ... good job thanks a lot for sharing !!

Egbert, you know I am a big fan of your sweet guitar playing and again you make nice chord and note choices. So there are a few mistakes, that's what rehearsal is for...I like the concept and would like to hear it when it has been tightened up and mixed. Nice.

Looking forward...
Sounds like a good practice session, Egbert. Like the mood the song develops and the guitar work. Drumming sounds fine too. Will look forward to hearing this when it is produced. Regards, Peter

Really nice guitar work, and I like the drums. Vocals sound good, but they are hard to hear. Lots of potential.

Def-11 work-in-progress
Lay Down works as a slow rock ballad. Suggestions:
Add some high flash vocals...
Come to a complete stop, and pause, before ya build it back.
The guitar sound needs to be more tube-like maybe, I'm looking for some "glass" on the highs.
Perhaps a repeating vocal hook during the final section?
"Stop breathing, don't stop breathing," would be my first suggestion.
Best of luck with the tune.

I like the guitar riff that introduces the song and repeats at various times through it. Vocal occasionally has some pitch issues, but has a tone that suits the music. Vocal could be a bit more forward in the mix? Solid drumming. Good rehearsal - thanks for the post!

Nice
live sound and a good song; as feter said I think there could be a little reverb in there somewhere to open it up a little since, although everything is fine, I get a 'boxed in' sort of feel. Good vocals and instrumentals though, regards M

I think
your singing could come forward a bit more. Good song. The band is nicely integrated. I'm sure you guys worked out all the kinks by now. Thanks.
