Description
A song that just got to me, after last night's birthday celebrations. The cover needs some explaining: A "svensk tiger" was a slogan that became part of a propaganda campaign in Sweden during World War II, aiming to prevent espionage by encouraging secrecy towards foreigners. The slogan read: "En Svensk Tiger", which can be translated to "A Swede keeps silent"... The word "Tiger" has a double meaning in the Swedish language and can both mean "tiger" (animal), or "tiger" "Keeping silence"... My cover says: "En svensk tiger aldrig", "A Swede never keeps silence"...and I believe that for you who knows me, also knows I can never stop, whether it is in paintings, writing, or with music... Hence...

A Song about Mr. Kaj Valfrid Mikael Nylund's Birthday, October 21

Today i grew older, a little more once again.
I woke up in the morning, but you know, everything felt just the same;
had my third coffee don't want to change my habits all though they're due I guess.
So here I am, most likely more than halfway through the great spin.

At noon i got a phone call, from an invisible friend:
"Hey, it's your day today, come out and drink, pal!"
And I said: "Okay, I may very well, but let's walk on the wild side"
"and burry our axes in the sand…"

Today I got older, in the same instance as I woke up,
like a rainbow, I painted the sky while taking a shot.
A cigar melted a room with it's sweet and mellow smoke.
There I was, in my feathered hat and classy, black suite.

At noon i got a phone call, from an invisible friend:
"Hey, it's your day today, come out and drink, pal!"
And I said: "Okay, I may very well, but let's walk on the wild side"
"and burry our axes in the sand…"

This night I got younger, close to 29, as I had some Swedish blood and a number of shots.
I lived the night like a young Prince should, roamed the streets like a true Tiger.
I drowned into a Sailor's Beef, it was like poetry without a book.
The sun did rise in New York, and I did too, as I knew I would.

At noon i got a phone call, from an invisible friend:
"Hey, it's your day today, come out and drink, pal!"
And I said: "Okay, I may very well, but let's walk on the wild side"
"and burry our axes in the sand…"

Birth and Tigers
Prowling, hidden, waiting for emergence. Beginnings celebrated through song and story. Drink in life and continue to let it flow through music and image and movement. It is an offering that will forever lift a lowly spirit.

Sweet
This is cool. Love the backing track. This really reminds me of Tom waits but with a cool other worldly style. Man im always impressed with your stuff.

Birthday bash
Sounds like you had a fun birthday. Love the grooves going on in here. The accordion melodies work nicely against your vocals.

thanks for the download :)
