Dream Becomes Nightmare (An Experimental Ambient Mix)

Description
This is another two parts mix, with one part being the incessant rhythmic part and the other part being the Reinholtean Ambient Wash variation #12. The title just came to me so doesn't exactly come to mind whilst listening. The rhythmic repeat was what gave me the original idea. Not too scary though I hope.

Nice mix
I don't think I'll get too many nightmares from it ;-)

I do hear some LP-like noise, though, is that intentional or just my equipment?

Take care,
Henke

Hi Henke....
Thanks for the info about Poole's Cave. I only live an hour or swo from there so I might have a trip there one weekend, to hava look around.

I'm glad you're not getting any nightmares from this mix. It makes me feel better. LoPass noise is very likely, as it's my old air lock sound coming into haunt the piece for not being Space Ambient. Just joking. If I use Zebra 2 I always get the hissing. The soft synth is noted for this 'feature'.

Take care.

I'll echo Henrik
Really nice mix. Nice underlying tension sitting beneath some very good ambient melodies. I love all the key changes!

You have many tunes in your repertoire that would sit well in the forthcoming Space Race Challenge and this could be one. But I recall you saying you aren't going to bother. Maybe we should have a special challenge in which we all try to emulate one of your own creations!

Hi Dave......
I don't envy anyone trying to emulate my music. I still worry when I upload every piece, in case someone takes an instant dislike and spreads the word.

Another side reason for not entering the SRC 2011 is that I'm putting the final touches to my second Net Album, The Zen of Zero. It's going to have 3 tracks, newly minted, called Zazen #1, #2 and #3. They will be 10, 20 and 30 minutes in length. I will be finalising the insert wording and zipping everything up to send to Pingthings.com..

Good luck in the SRC2011.

Take care.

Dream Becomes Nightmare
Nice nightmare I have to say. Man I hope you have done something to the "Spacerace Challenge 2011" cos you are a winner with your space music.

Take care

Hi Kenta....
Thanks for the kind words. They mean a lot to me.

I'm busy putting together a web album and so have less time than I would want to have for the challenge, and I do that sort of music all the time so it's no challenge.

Take care.

Cool
You don't need a challenge that I have to agree with you. Sounds cool with a web album :D I hope you have lots of fun.

Take care
