Description
So...I was going through the 'graveyard' of songs once started but never really finished last night. I've sort of hit a wall with my music lately, due to various reasons. This one was started last December, and while I had some more ideas for it, it never moved beyond what I've posted here.

It kind of fits with a spooky Halloween theme, so...here it is

Feels like Fall to Me
This has a beautiful melancholy feel to me. Like the last leaves falling before winter. Glad you picked it up again.

holds her breath...
the dream returns. she anticipates the visions, but is always apprehensive. as sleep once again washes over her, she can hear his call from above... he is always waiting for her, pacing anxiously to be with her again. She arrives as always, on the same warm moonlit stones, and looks through the trees into his smile. with the gentlest breeze, he reaches down to his love and offers her the midnight kiss. she stands on tiptoe to accept, as she always does...

anticipation and emptiness, beauty and despair... perhaps simply put: "life". this is what it speaks to me. thank you for offering this gentle and stirring piece of music.

Requiem, graveyard, sunset, leaves falling...
might be a bit of a pattern here. Whatever, it is a beautiful pattern and while a little melancholy is not spooky. I can't imagine why you put it aside: it's lovely.

Hi Cat.......
This piece sounds to me like a very beautiful intro to some sort of classical lament, so you title is spot on.

I wish you would finish this piece. It might be the gentle hand up you need to at least climb onto the wall and laugh at it.

Take care.

Paul

Beautifully
simple, but full of atmospherics..... lonely; not sad, but pensive and so relaxing, proving that 'less is more', regards M

Hauntingly beautiful
Dry leaves blow down an empty dark lane. The moon peers between drifting clouds. The chill of winter fills the air. And the sense of loss.

Lovely piece, Cat. I'm glad you finished this one.

Doug
