Opening The Gifts

Description
A friend told me a story of a rich man who bought all the products from a failing hardware store and kept it in his tool shed in the backyard. When my friend was instructed to grab a tool from the tool shed he was taken back by the amount of unopened packages that, aside from the dust, were in perfect condition.

Such a great word picture that has vastly impacted me. I will not allow the dust of time to gather on the gifts God has given to me. That message has inspired this tune.

It would
be the height of arrogance to keep a gift unopened. This is full of joy. Thank you.

yes!!
that's david lanz's label. obviously windham hills is the other one that immediately comes to mind! have you shopped your stuff around to the labels that have new age musicians? you're as good as any of them, better than most!

Shopping around
I've tried a bit. I talked to Hier Octave some years ago (My search on Narada's site says Narada acquired them) but they were only interested if I had a huge following and not at all in what my music sounds like. I did however bump into Will Ackerman (formerly of Windham Hill) and he told me my music had a freshness to it and offered to produce my album. Will no longer owns a record company and work only as a producer and artist. I would love to have Will Ackerman produce me but can not afford his price much less camp out in Vermont until the album is done. I was thinking of looking into http://www.kickstarter.com/ and take a chance on getting funding.

I also run into problems finding venues who want new age artists to play at their establishments.

A beautiful tune. It has both peacefulness and joy through it. I was sort of expecting some orchestration to kick in , but keeping it as just solo piano does maintain a simple purity that is delightful. Much enjoyed.

You are not.....
Crazy at all, in fact you understand and have been given the keys
to the doors of reality and dreams, the place where the true feelings
come from..... Where you can turn dreams into reality " Your Music "...
He didn't give you this ability so you can emulate someone else, he only gives these keys to those with a heart that can't be turned into something unworthy, to those that believe in the (1) and only.....

Outstanding piece of work.....

May his winds blow only good things your way.......Peace

Thank you
Thank you Soundhound. It's good to hear that encouragement. I used to curse my gift, wishing I was made for employment that brought home more income for my family. I have come to believe that I was made this way for a reason. I need to stop complaining to the (1) because He knows what He is doing.
