Description
A while ago, I did a custom tile installation for a dentist. A previous tile guy cleaned the grout and put a big scratch on the toilet, marked up the tile floor. So I had to go in there and install new underlayment and tile in two bathrooms.
But when I was on the job, the dentist had two cute dogs. One of them was a Scottish Terrier named "Ruckus". I thought that was one of the cutest names for a little dog. So I just had to name this tune in dedication to that little dog. The job was done in San Francisco, Ca.

Ruckus
All your usual elements here - lively tune, crisp notes, impeccably clean recording. Sounds like Ruckus was a fun dog! A delightful piece of music. Imagine, though, how the other dog is now feeling with Ruckus getting all the attention - I think there needs to be another tune for that poor neglected dog :-) Thanks for the download.

Hi Tiler
Your tone always amazes me and the playing is so clean. Composition and clarity of recording are great but on my head phones the sound was off centre and panned to the left so I was wondering if we were missing a bit of the stero image? Whatever, you've shown us what fingerstyle guitar should be all about (as usual!)
Best wishes
Steve

Always
so impressed listening to your stuff, though i could have done without the dentist reference! Sends a shiver down my spine and not in a good way. Much rather just listen to the music!

Well phrased, played and recorded. The exuberance of the piece left me wanting expansion into a wider instrumental idiom, but maybe that is for the future? Perhaps not, the piece is about a single little dog, after all.

Much enjoyed. Thank You.

Happy New Year,

marc

I doodle with
some things and then I can't stand not doing anything with them.
Can't sell em, love playin, so I've got to do something with em. I hold back my arm and say to myself: "don't do it you hog, your going to get less fans. Then the worse half of me does it anyway:
IT's called "addiction", Seriously, some people are addicted to alcohol, others drugs, some food. Me guitar. The only thing that saves me from being poor is the tile installation business.
When I see someone with a guitar and that is all they do, I am in utter shock on how they can make money at it. It is almost as if with music, it's like oil and water for me as far as money.

If I could just make a 1/4th of what I make in the tile business I would be one happy man!

That is truly why I think for me "thetiler" is so true, I just can't make money at my guitar.

I often wonder if famous musicians could never make money at what they are doing, if they would keep a mad passion for it. I really do wonder.

Thanks Michael for the listen and the post. And keep going with that wonderful music of yours!

Just amazed........
....at you guys with magical fingers! I can certainly hear the spirit of "ruckus" in this. A great listen, and now everyone is going to race down to the pound and adopt a pup so they can name him Ruckus. I changed my dachshund's name, but she won't answer to it yet. But seriously, I really enjoyed this. T

Ruckus
This dog possessed some serious amounts of perkiness! I love how you captured it with your flying fingers. As a frustrated guitarist I know how hard this kind of music is and what makes it magical when it is played so very well. If your re-tiling job was anything like this piece I'm sure the dentist was delighted.

Bill, many of your tracks are part of the playlist I use when we have company over for dinner. Thanks for all that enjoyment (and for making this one available too!)
