This is another soundscape from my most recent 'mix frenzy', where I lay down different mixes based on the same MIDI sequence. I'm trying out low/mid/sparkly mixes, where the melody could be either in the mid range or the sparkly range. I'm enjoying playing with these mixes so there may be a few more on their way. They don't seem so dark and forboding as some of my other recent work.

I hope you enjoy the trip.....It's a tad over seven minutes. Currently no longer version. A world first for me.

A Sound of Japanese influence that is open for the imagination and some of our experience within the culture. For me it is a revelation of the Buddhist tradition the Japanese have imported throughout the world and because of that. I have been able to look within and face my own 'Human Revolution' boldly. Nice work

Hi Ricky....
The Buddhist theme resonates with me. I'm more into the Zen Buddhist theme and the Japanese form to be specific. Just plain old Zazen as opposed to sitting for something to happen. Non-seeking and non-grasping for me.

Take care.

I'm fond of japanese music and culture. The buddhistic element is omnipresent in your track.Very well done !

Hi Harald....
The Zen Mind is a fascinating subject to me. When I understand it there's nothing to understand but yet that's the something that sparked my interest in the first place.

I like the idea of omnipresent. The sounds can be all pervasive without focus.

Take care.

Great job :)
Love this Paul, perfect in a way that fires my imagination. Simplistic as in nature is always the best.

Thanks again

Hi Patty........
Most of my Ambient soundscapes are just three stereo tracks (to start with) but I'm working on putting everything into one stereo pair, without mixing anything. This means the soundscape will be all-encompassing but in one live take. That's also why I'm uploading more experimental pieces lately.

I try to make all my music 'mind music'.

Take care.

Would be
lovely company to a bit of meditation in a Japanese cherry orchard... Or, more likely, as a substitute for it :-) Nice stuff.

Thanks and take care,

Hi Henke....
Build the picture in your mind. Use the music to evoke the picture.

Just a thought....

Take care.

It has darkness, maybe not so blatant as some of your other work, but to me this sounds like the backdrop for one of those hide under the covers Japanese horror movies. The midrange provides startling punctuations in a long sequence where tension and the expectation of the unknown rule. But than again, I'm very impressionable hahaha. Really unexpected, and I thought it was terrific.

Hi Duane.....
Yes the mix is less dark than my recent stuff. I do enjoy the sparkly bits in pieces so I'm putting myself through a phase of mixing soundscapes with all the nicer elements in them, if I can do this.

There'll be more experimental mixes coming along shortly.

Thanks for your kind words.

Take care.
