Description
I really didn't like the drums and some of the acoustic guitar on this.

So, here is the final version. Hope it sounds better...on to the next song.

Thanks Char

Lyrics
Remember

I remember the first time I saw you all alone
I remember the first time I saw you long ago

You were in my eyes
Can’t forget that smile

Now I know why I love you
Feels so good, you brought me through
Now I know why I love you
Fells so good

I remember seeing the lights of the city
I remember you dressed in white, so pretty

We were in a haze
Can’t forget those days

Now I know why I love you
Feels so good, you brought me through
Now I know why I love you
Fells so good

*I remember saying good-bye and you cried
I remember coming to you and we tried
Nothing has changed
I still feel the same

well i didn't hear the first so not much i can say there.

this is a great tune dave. at times you can really draw out a early rolling stones flavor into the mix.

Thanks Vic
I put this song up too early. The drums were too distracting. And Char mentioned the acoustic on the right side was a bit distracting too.

So re-mix and here it is.

Early Stones eh. Cool

nice, mate!
some wikkid songwriting, as usual, mate. I always love your vibe, it's something all on its own. The rhythm was somewhat off towards the end, but at the same time, it sounded like it was done on purpose, a sort of dragging-kick trick. Odd.

I think...
...I'm always out of time. Having problems with the audio jack on my computer. More left than right. That probably screwed me up.

With that slow bpm, it's harder to make it right, too.

I like
your treatment of the vocals. I also dig the soundbed -- nice swells and dynamics. The only thing I'd point to as a negative is the repetition of the phrase "I remember." Anaphora is often useful, but grows stale once it begins to seem overtly formulaic. Great song, overall!

Wow Grammar
I don't give much thought to that. I didn't think people even paid attention to the lyrics, but I'm glad you did.

How are things in Ore.? I used to hang out up there.

I thought this was quite good. Drums are always hard, but I don't hear any problems with them or the acoustic. At the end, I was expecting three more chords, but it's cool how you ended it too!

sounds good
The repetition didn't bother me a bit, I really liked the honest-sounding emotions in the lyrics. Nice laid back vibe, instruments sound good together, I like the drumbeats. Overall it's got that Lavalamp style. Enjoyed it!

Nice
arrangement with the plinking guitars in the verses bringing a nice airy space before the chorus comes in. I actually wanted it a little longer David, cheers M

Trademark...
Hi Dave. Trademark LL vocals match the lyric intent nicely. Mellow, natural sounding tune. Slow tempos can be a bitch :-) Take care, Peter.

i like this man
seems like your vocals are drier than normal LL. I like that. sweet melody. just an idea but maybe live drums? a live drummer can match your timing...anyway it's a nice tune.
