Description
William stood out side his prone body looking down at his own death. He scarcely noticed the glowing shimmering angel hovering beside him, smiling gently in his direction. The angel was neither female or male but it's beauty absorbed William he could not look away.

You are beautiful William the angel stated, as it looked down on his lifeless image. I can offer you a new adventure free of pain and blood are you ready to join me ? Where are we going William inquired.

To a place far more beautiful than this William, a place of rest and peace, no more pain, no more blood, no more conquest.

William thought for a moment I would rather stay here.

You may stay, but you can never leave this location, you will be alone when the fighting has ended and the armies have left, you cannot go with your friends, you can never go home.

The angel took his hand, and whispered I can offer you much much more William.

What if I don't like your place, can I leave ?

No you can never leave, nor will you ever want to, you can bask in the glory of God, or you can remain here William..... in hell.

The thought of being alone in this wilderness disturbed William. So this is Hell he thought I do not want to stay in Hell..

Let us go the angel said, and with a smile William was enveloped by blinding light, slowly they lifted, the ascension had begun...The heavens opened in all there beauty and William entered, he was home...

...stirringly beautiful Dave--that will have to do for now but I could find many other adjectives to describe the imagery and feeling this piece gave to me. Kudos to you on a fine job here! Michael

You seem to be pushing
your own boundaries Dave. This and your previous offering are quite stunning, not only musically, which is to be expected from you, but also in backstory. Really, really fine work.

cinematic
and totally pro. Sounds like something straight out of BraveHeart. Love the lead, which has a decidedly bagpipe vibe to it. Anyway, dug it!

i think i liked the story and writing as much as the music. hadn't noticed that literary side until recently. is this just a part of a complete, or soon to be complete, story/saga/theme?

Cinematic and solid
Engaging storyline, wonderful climactic build, with ethereal and atmospheric instrumentation. Really pro-sounding score to my ear. Love the heavenly vocals midway and the mournful violin at the end.

I'm so late here Dave. I loved the story above; it's a wonderful introduction to this very atmospheric piece..... beautifully put together and arranged..... the clock and the bells really add to this theme.... loved it, regards M
