inspiration
This inspires me, the keys in the back really make it strong I think its coming along nicely The second song for me was a better song upbeat and full its was a nice treat to get 2 echo songs in one take

Fabulous!
This is real quality stuff, the first song reminds me a bit of Simple Minds in style. You have a lovely deep voice. I can't say anything helpful for future development though! I think they are great as they are.

Never thought of simple minds
..but I get that, it's a big, obvious, emotional kinda song. Ta!

Love both songs Steve
with a slight preference for Wrap your arms which means - at least in my book - Memory Palace is only great.

Suggestions? Posting lyrics.
Cheers,
Charlie

I thought you might suggest
That you do the orchestration for the first one! Cheers Charlie

2 for 1
Well I'm biased as I really like your voice. That being the case both tracks sound farther along than "wip". There's some great supporting instrumentation on both. I take it its all you? Kudo's Your voice sounds terrific. Right in the zone.

Wrap your arms/ memory place
Yup. I'm here. Getting back into the scene slowly after a long respite of unemployment and relocation for a new job...

I like 'Wrap your Arms', it has a cool driving beat that I could get my head around. I can hear some giant crescendo-ing backing harmonies on that one - getting into huge anthem territory - one way to go anyway.

'Memory Place', is obviously a little rougher at the moment, but the harmonies are ace as usual. The opening with just bass, box and drums at 4:44 is great! Where'd you get those guitars, I like 'em!

Let's talk.

How do you do...
...the guitars? Did you play it? I thought you didn't play.

I'm getting a Bono feel on this on actually.

Like the drum sound, too.

Good to see you more active around here.

Cheers,

LL

Hi Dave
Yeah, the first one is very U2, BiG emotions! All the guitars are the Realguitar and Realstrat software , played with one finger on the keyboard by yours truly .

Wrap your arms/ memory palace
Both of them sound really strong to me. I read the rest of the comments, hard to believe those are software guitars, totally fooled me.

Both great!
Hmmm. Both sound amazing. I think the first one sounds like it ends to soon, but I think it's a structural thing, rather than a length issue, like it didn't get somewhere and come back, if that makes sense. The second sounds more complete structurally, more rounded out. I'd love to see lyrics for both!

P.S.
But maybe I only thought those things because you prompted me to see them as incomplete and find suggestions. Maybe I wouldn't have thought it otherwise. I don't know.

Most people
would be happy with what you've posted. Yes, you could really embellish them but the quality is so good already I'm not sure you need to.

Quality material here.

I can hear some big, obvious guitars on the first song and maybe a guitar solo on the second (although the riff based solo there at the moment works really well).

Cheers

The missing racerat
"wrap your arms": I would agree, that racerat and his guitar could perfectly complete this work-in-progress.

"memory place" sounds more complete to my ears. I don't have the feeling that something is missing here.
