Definitely Emotional
Dynamic opening to Sound Magic. Wonderful composition and concept. Dig the drums and Bass feel. Moments of interlude provide dramatic element defined by the burst of energy of a musical mind indeed. Strings carry me to an enchantment within. Wonderful piece my man!

#50 LP
People will respond differently to sonic stimuli. TVRicky feels enchantment. I hear tragedy and hopelessness. But then I'm an emotional sap sometimes. In any case, I listened to the original (are there really over 7000 Andrews at MJ?) and I like very much what you added. A thoughtful piece of music. DLed, of course. Tip o' the hat to Andrew, as well.

No.50 / Light Pollution
I love your interpretation on this. The parts you added or arranged really had a way of bringing dynamics and ranging emotion to something that was originally one-dimensional. I think you created something that brings out the emotions I was trying to express as well as brings in something new. I love the drums and strings you added, it worked really well with the parts I had. Switching between the moods created by the different instrument sections really added some needed structure to this type of piece. Thanks for everything you did with it; having someone work with some of the music I wrote was a pretty cool experience.

Andrew...
it was a pretty cool experience for me too! I really appreciate you allowing me to manipulate this beauty. I'm very glad (and relieved) that you like this.

I'm thrilled with how this turned out; our styles meld together well IMO.

Thank you for trusting me with your music. I hope the opportunity comes around again.

Hi Steve
Just landed back! Beautiful mate, I am so pleased to hear your inspirational vision of this. I can't help but mention I think this seems to have a connection to the Young Gods and some of their tunes, for me, and that as far as I am concerned is right up there with my favourite bands. Magical dipping in and out of faded waves of harmony, you made it your own with those lush orchestrated noises. Brilliant man, really this has made my day. Thanks for the copy,I will be giving this a few more spins tonight, It is good enough to become a travelling companion.

Cool what you've done with Andrew's piece. I had to laugh at myself though - I'm in the garage, and as the end drew near there was a tuck backing up in the neighborhood, "beep... beep... beep..." I thought it was part of the outro. ha. fit just right really.

oh yeah....i really like this. very original, very thought-provoking and evocative. love the vibe that kicks in and takes us off for a short trip before we fade back to the dark....and then we're off somewhere else again. a really fabulous track. the little noodling around 3.40 and the echo outro is spectacularly haunting.

Music for David Lynch
or the lady behind the radiator. Great atmosphere to this. I love the weird tone of the thing. (Is it a guitar?) The beat is neat (No internal rhyme intended). Downloaded for future miserable fun!

kickin' it up a notch
I agree, your two styles mesh well... you allow his original distant piece set the stage, then loop it into rhythmic submission as it gives way to your drum-n-strings reprise... love the way you go back and forth like that, with his almost "out of energy" oppressed section, then your driving energetic section pushes it forward. Great job you two!

# 50...
Quite a special flava here, I luv the intergration of the Industrial/Mechanical colors, they merge with the strings so perfectly..the time signature balances the energy without crowding anything..Big Smile City flava and mix...exceptional I say..:):):)peace

Sadness,
stemming from something ominous approaching but without a malevolent intelligence behind it. Just the pendulum swinging to deal a taste of discomfort so you have something to gauge happiness and tranquility against. Actually, I think having bad things happen teaches an appreciation of good things and keeps all of us from getting cocky. People must develop fortitude against a world of harshness and pain but still be open to the richness of the bittersweet. (I don't know what the hell I'm talking about but it sounds very deep, huh?) I guess I'm saying this music calls up familiar emotions from the darker side.
