Description
This soundscape is trying to depict a scene where someone is searching for a predator-type, elusive life form on a far out planet somewhere in another system. There is the backdrop to the search and there is the noise of the predator.

It is a little under sixteen minutes in length.

16 minutes nice!
Is this piece the longest in time you have created?

Smooth sounding pads, with a light glassy harmonic texture is great for a soundscape of this length. A great listen when I was reading my novel of Daemon :)

One of these days I'm gonna borrow one of your soundscapes and use it in one of my pieces-with your permission of course.

Hi Patty.........
No. The longest published track is one of 30 minutes, #3 on 'The Zen of Zero' net album that came out just before Christmas (The link is on my profile page). This album also has a 10-minutes track and a 20-minute track, to make 60 minutes total listening time. It's basically a concept album following on from my Zazen series (42 tracks and counting).

The longest unpublished track is, I think, 63 minutes but I wasn't happy with it all the way through so I abandoned it.

You can use whatever of my tunes you want, to do with as you please, whenever you want.

Daemon is good. The second volume is good too. Some neat concepts that I grok.

Take care.

A long one - nice!
I get cold, ice cold with some kinds of crystals growing on rocks and any vegetation that can live in these dim conditions. A dark green sky. Menace, yes - both from the lurking predator but also the desolate landscape.

Thank you Paul!

Doug

Hi Doug....
Your images match the soundscape very well. I listened to the sounds at my disposal whilst putting this track together and the 'predator sound' had to go in there. It completed my soundscape.

I'm glad you enjoyed the landscape with it's hunter and the hunted.

Take care.

Another nice one
In my favorite Reinholtian style, a truly (space) ambient style where notes and rhythm are secondary. I used it as a backdrop while working from home (because my little daughter - 11 today! - had the flu).

Thanks and take care,
Henke

Hi Henke......
Backdrop musician. It could be a new alias for me. Thanks for starting the thought off in my mind.

I'm happy if the listener can enjoy the music in a non-intrusive way. It gives me great pleasure to know some of my pieces allow this. I know I enjoy pieces that I can listen to whilst walking or reading or waiting for my pieces to render or save or convert.

Happy birthday to your little daughter. I hope she had a very nice day.

Take care.

Paul
