Description
Written by Harry (Akst No Questions) Akst and Joe Young (not the giant gorilla) in 1924 (PD). I had the great pleasure of working on this particular song with the astonishing Ibstrat (and a bit later, the equally astonishing Scofugate joined in) some months ago and thought I'd come back and ruin it all on my own this time!

Thanks again,

Michael

Hoorah, hooray!
A new tune from the great Michael Jay. We've been missing your dulcet tones lately, but I understand you may have had some medical problems. I do hope you are feeling better and, if this is any indication, you are. Boo-bop-a-doop!

Your ability to hit notes effortlessly (or so it seems) on all points of the scale is a delight to listen to! As is often the case, the humour you add to a song always makes it even more entertaining. Excellent performance!

RUOK?
Hey Michael, hope things are OK in your world and that your health is good (now?). Always a pleasure to have a new post from you and following on from the wonderful Ibstrat collab, this is just as welcome. Your vocal linguistics are a treat and the humour shines through as always. The backer creates the right mood, too. Take care, Peter.

A Great Vocalist and Entertaner you are.
I am always amazed at the sound your voice produces. I swear you should be in Vegas making big bucks entertaining cats like me. In fact after listening to this I have a longing for Vegas. I guess you're going to make me spend some money my friend and have fun doing it. Fantastic Piece with as always a Magical Production.

You had me with the opening but when the tempo picked up you blew me away. Your sense of style for these songs comes from an earlier era - it's hard to imagine people these days picking up on the nuances let along being able to sing them authentically. What a treasure you are to have around MJ!

Brilliant Michael.

Cool stuff Michael. Has a real thump to it to drive it along and those quick bent notes are cracking! That change of pace at the one minute mark makes you sit up and re evaluate what you thought was going to happen! Spiffier than Spiffy Spiffs McSpiffington.

ha - love this song
I instantly love the way you have done this with it's bouncy gait and then the move of key and tempo change. The quintet I used to play with did this song most weeks used to do the Fats Waller version of this great standard. Lovely job you have done here - vocals superb as always.

Seriously, I really enjoyed this MJK. I especially like when the tempo picks up and your singing along to the cool standup bass.

Take care
