Description
I put this soundscape together on the 7th January. I've forgotten what it was about or any story to tell.....I'm currently embarking on reading through Isaac Asimov's Foundation, Robots and Empire novels, so this piece was a prelude to me starting 'Prelude to Foundation'. Call it the soundscape intro to the novels....I may do other pieces in keeping with the various themes of these books as I plough through them.

It's over fifteen minutes so it's a fair introduction to the many volumes I'll be reading over the next few weeks!!

Stirring track, took me on a space trip...and reminded me of Richard Wrights work with Floyd in early years. enjoyed

Hi Dave....
Richard Wright is a part time hero of mine. He has been influential to me over the last three or four years, as I've digested the Floyd tracks more and more and come to appreciate his and his group members' talents and skills.

Take care.

I was pretty cold before
But now I'm freezing (suppose I forgot to put on my space suit)... But thanks for the reminder to read some Asimov. Afraid I never did. I guess Foundation is the "one" to go for? (But aren't they pretty thick all these, and you're talking of just weeks????)

Anyway, thanks for the nice "backdrop" and good luck with/enjoy the reading.

Hi Henke....
The Foundation is truly galaxy spanning in size and depth. I love getting into these sorts of novels. I can go where they go and imagine. I have the time to read these so there's no problem there and no matter how many books are to be read, I'll get through them.

Take care.

Just saying
The wife has now borrowed a three in one volume with the three first Foundation novels and I have started to read 'em too. In Swedish I'm afraid, and the translation may be a little short of perfect, but otherwise promising... Thanks again. /H

hope you're ready for a millennial ride w/that Foundation series. got some fairly innovative ideas for the time it was written, tho religion as power undertones have been around since religion. if i listened to this while reading, i'd be completely absorbed.

Hi Sammy....
Yes. The ideas are already coming through to me and I'm only in the early chapters of Prelude to Foundation. He was a brilliant author and I'm so looking forward to getting through the rest of the volumes.

Thanks for the thoughts on the music.

Take care.
