Now this has romance and allure
It sounds familiar because it is...... hearts beating and parting glances in the rain. A wonderful tune..... wish I had done it.

I love the delicate waltz feel. Your use of dynamics and subtle changes of tempo say a lot emotionally. A beautiful piece.

Lovely!
Very pretty, but infused with melancholy, so the title is perfect... very moving. Thanks for sharing this with us, and I hope you will post many more of your creations.

sweet anguish
the emotions that penetrate you to your soul, sweep you beyond reason and thought, to a place you love and hate to be. So beautiful and so dangerous a place. I know this place well. Wonderfully portrayed.

I love
the feel of this. It's not flashy playing, but I'll take substance and emotion over flashy playing any day.

Nicely sat down and seen
what can be done, Mango's mum.It came out fine and dandy, sounds like it would not be out of place on the end credits of a deeply meaningful and moving...er...movie...if you get my drift, sort of thing.

Piano is the one instrument that is an orchestra in itself and you have orchestrated a tremulous and moody little piece that whist delicate and pretty has issues, there's a back story of atmosphere and tempestuous mood...almost a sulkiness, or possibly a melancholic undercurrent. Great stuff,Cheers.

Hi Shay - every time you put up a piano piece, I find myself thinking "this is the best I have heard yet from Shay".

This piece is absolutely no exception - beautiful, emotional piece. Well done, my friend!

the best ideas for me are the ones where you dont plan it you just get the instrument and let it flow. its in that magical spot where you find yourself. this is one of those delicate moments i reckon. am i right? cheers graham

Wonderful improvisation.
Reminds me of Michael Andrew's Donnie Darko soundtrack (Liquid Spear Waltz?). The sound of your piano is perfect - fragile with soft strength, unassuming and intimate. How did you record it or which midi instrument are you using if I may ask?

I like the emotional distance in the chords - it moves between the raindrops and leaves the mood fairly open, although I tend to imagine a film scene close to the photo you picked - a rainy afternoon, with the wind gently playing with dead leaves. I hate it when movies end like that! But I really enjoyed this track:)

Hey Pari
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. This was recorded through Logic using my digital piano and the JP Symphony Steinway. I adjusted the EQ a little using the default setting of "Grand Piano 01". And that's it!

Beautiful and sad...
Such emotive playing, I wonder if there something longing in the artists life...The songs I have heard from you as of late are all similar in expression. I love that sense of feeling.

Thanks for sharing.

Great to hear a new track from you. I found this tres atmospheric and romantic from first note. Has a searching and plaintive quality that reminds me of Erik Satie without being derivative. Loved the solo piano voice & improvisatory feel.

Well, there you go...
As a compositional aid, sitting down and playing something has to be one of the best methods...

This has a wonderful sense of mood, Shay, and it's nicely sustained. No false notes or wanders. Peaceful but melancholy, to my ears at least. Suits the photo, too. And a very human feel to the playing, nicely paced.
