Description
This is an old track that I managed to finish but didn't really intend to post. But a friend liked it so what the heck. A little kraftwerk-ish I suppose.

I experiment with filters and with a new approach to mixing where I start over completely from scratch once the song was finished.

Love the Art As Well
Production Excellence - Mix Cooker - Really like the build up and growth into the beat - Dance feel here - Dig whatever your doing with the filters and the injection of the vOx with the groove takes it there..Get down baby real slick art my friend! Fantastic Mind!

Thanks for checking this out! Not satisfied with my mixes, but I'm slowly getting better I think. I can't take credit for that great artwork unfortunately, don't know who is the creator of it.

I see
myself in a hammock with an ice bucket and a few bottles of beer chang, with this on the ipod, while reading some Terrence Mckenna :) Fantastic soundscapes. Truly lovely. Another 6 minutes would have been even lovelier :) Top work, aRcTip. My kinda groove. Just wish I had the tech/talent to do this kinda thing.

Quite fresh sounding
(to me) with wonderful nuances and changes. I'm not really familiar with Kraftwerk, but I see Harald made a nifty pun. A lovely listen; thank you for posting it and the d/l.

Terrific
Your friend was quite right, this is a little gem! A great melange of electronica. I particularly like the "Thriller"-esque bass line. One for my pod, thank you!

A download is an honour, thank you! Glad you liked the bass. I was in fact unsure of keeping it, but then found a way to change it to my liking too.

Good title - suggests the subtle changes which take place here. Expectant opening. I like the way you build the piece, with new elements entering during the first 2 minutes. I like the bass line especially - has a good bounce to it. Has plenty of life in the piece, but I found it relaxing. Much enjoyed!

Thanks! Right now I have too many projects in the loop so this was pushed down the list as I wasn't happy with it. Got it sorted out for me during mixing.

Thank you! That's why feedback is so valuable. And yep, I found this way of mixing both easier and faster. Before it was endless tweaking back and forth.

Cool stuff
I like the build of this and the sounds and the groove. The bass line is top (so to speak) and well, it doesn't feel at all like 6.30. Glad you posted it :-)

Thanks and take care,
Henke

Held my interest easily for the 6 or so minutes. Interesting and varied themes that were tied together very well. The bass synth really carried it along. Thanks for the post. Regards, Peter.

this is very very good. reminds me of stuff ninjatune records put out ....especially the earlier ambient trip-hop material. everything beautifully interlaced. love the vocal interruptions. excellent track.

Ninjatune records, wow feels so long ago. The vocals is a mix of learning french lessons and audio synthesis I typed in myself, if I remember correctly. Thanks for stopping by!

nice energy. moody, bit dark with an air of anxiety perhaps. i kind of agree with the kraftwerk association but i still think it has its own identity. its your own identity that will be everything. keep it up. cheers graham

Shades of music...
I love that we can revive old tracks and give them new life like this one. Your sound is always so clean and expansive. Great space with subtle rhythms. Yeah it may sound like a little kraftwerk at time, but being pioneers in that genre its hard not to sound like them. Great song, enjoyed it very much :)

Filterific
Nice use of filters. Is that using a soft synth or an actual synth? I like the hushed vocals just hinted at in the background. Nice art too.

Fun with music
You are obviously have a lot of fun making music with Garageband (and Logic). That joy shines through your various posting here on Macjams.

Each piece seems to have its own ambient character and distinct tempo. Nothing seems rushed; yet nothing drags, either. I really get the feeling that as much as you are creating the music ... you are also letting the music take you were it wants to go. That's a nice artistic tradeoff.

So far, I like them all!

Thanks very much for that nice comment! Indeed, it's lots of fun (and a bit of frustration) involved. I go where the music takes me and I'm open for including those spontaneous "mistakes and accidents" that crops up when composing. Hope you'll like my forthcoming stuff too :)

Nuances de la Musique
I really enjoyed listening to this. I am from an analogue guitars, drums keys world and just recently started or I should say attempted to incorporate synth sounds into my music ... I have gained a whole new respect for the electronic genre. This is excellent and I think the mix is good.
Cheers
SG
Did you do the art? I quite like the graphic quality ... it suites the music.
