Description
Just two tracks: both the same midi file, generated by me, one played by Alchemy's Atomic Harmonics Soundscape, and the other Alchemy's Cascade Loop. Very minimalist, and yet...

Atlantis,hmmmmm,water subject
to choose, sorry could not resist the pun *groan* nicely done,an air of mystery and ancient mythology seeps through this and that slightly metallic mechanised sound sets it all off .Super stuff,.

Cheers

You must've dived right in as soon as I posted. Was that a "What a subject to choose" pun? Whatever, you enjoyed: cheers back.

Oscillation
Gives this an oceany feel that I wouldn't have expected from the mechanical choices. Extremely interesting.

Swimming to Atlantis
Nice use of Alchemy, I love when you can use a synth sparingly but still get as much out of it that you have received, very nicely done. Enjoyed a lot…Cheers

demo
alchemy has totally impressed me and now your experiments with the fill blown deal have got me itching to spend money .... but i am buying lottery tickets for you so will just drool from the sidelines listening ... wow... totally cool Richard. Love it sir!

Save your money
for the lottery tickets. You can still do an awful lot with the free version. And you don't get to drool legitimately for another 30 years or so ;-)

Swimming to Atlantis
Powerful swimming to attempt the hidden treasure of Atlantis. Now we know gills if used with Alchemy can give chills without parsimony. Ah, if I were a fish... :)

I was really only after the treasures of Alchemy but sometimes we get guided to places we didn't expect.

Swimming
Certainly has an underwatery sort of feel (not that I spend any time underwater, but I imagine it might be like this). Sort of spooky and mechanical, but there are the softer ploppy sort of sounds that work for this piece. Fascinating work, Richard!

I am a master of ploppy sounds ;-) Thanks Philip, for bringing me down to earth (if not below it): "spooky" is cool.

Wow
This is very cool, not least for just two tracks. I like these soundscape synths as well. I've got Alchemy on my iPhone but just for passing fun, not for production as yet. Cool pic as well...

Thanks and take care,
Henke

It is an amazing synth. Take it for a production spin, or at least post your "passing fun": it's time for a new one from you.

Hehe
Yeah, wouldn't that be nice ;-) Actually I've got one started - in Logic, but not sure it will come to anything worthwhile. Maybe I'll try to top what I have with some Alchemy vibes. If I can just figure out how to record it... /H

Minimalist
It's funny how minimalist can sound so full and rich.
I really think that you captured the mood of this song very well.

Interesting piece. I really like how it builds in intensity and then lays back towards the end. Nice effect!

A soundtrack feel
Very nice - dramatic feel to it. I've been experimenting with the Alchemy synth with Logic 9 and on the iPad - some great sounds. You use it very effectively!

Evocative
Atlantis, The Lost Continent was one of my favourite movies as a kid. Cheesy as all get out but it had a certain panache. Just like this enjoyable minimalist offering does (not the cheesy, the panache...). Like the low synth on the right and the way you evoke the theme. Is that Lloyd Bridges I see just behind the statues? Thanks, Peter.

Swimming to Atlantis
Sort of spooky and it has a burbly underwater feel so I think it's appropriate to the title. Cool work.

eery, moody
underwater atmospheric melancholy. It's as if, while listening, I drift deeper and deeper into the drink and the music. Thanks...

Swimming to Atlantis
This is very deep and low ... I like the synth that almost sounds like a deep voice humming. Nice build up ... simple but effective. Enjoyed listening ... I should be working but this is much better.
Cheers
