Description
This mix is a take on how I imagine a robot or artificial life form would dream whilst asleep. The action would obviously be far faster in the artificial life form's time frame but, stepped down, it would be heard by us humans this way........Methinks.

Wow I just post "Weird Dreams" I love dreamy tunes like this, and I have told you before, you're an expert to make spacey and dreamy tunes, thanks for the download, take care, Kenta.

Hi Kenta......
I'm into books about dreaming and how to dream successfully. Just a phase that I'm going through.

Thanks for the kind thoughts.

Take care.

Robot Dreams
What can a robot dream ? Perhaps to be not more a machine, but an human being in order to realize his dreams.
Sometimes the wide and infinite pans and fields of your music reminds me strangely Richard Wagner in his technical version.

Hi Harald.....
I imagine a robot dreams in 'machine language' which is a pun on English. It's the low level language that computers use. They must also dream in binary, hexadecimal and whatever other power-based number systems they are writing artificial intelligence routines with.

I use a Windows plugin for to spacey effect, called Ambience. It's a great reverb effect. The width is also created using Voxengo's free Stereo Touch plugin, again for Windows systems.

Take care.

Another really nice one
My only nit would be that these gems tend to come a bit close in time and therefor many people might miss them. Which is a pity. Anyway, much enjoyed!

Take care,
Henke

Hi Henke.....
I put together somewhere between one and eight mixes almost every day. Most don't see the light of day and will be forgotten by me. The frequency of my uploads (to Macjams) is about one per page. Meaning that when my last upload goes off the main page, I upload a new track. I will continue to do this whilst I can. The pieces that anyone misses will be there if they care to look. That's ok for me.

Thanks for your thoughts about the frequency of my uploads. I do know what you mean.

I may move to putting together albums of tracks for publishing on net album sites. That is another idea. I may also put together my own site and then everything I do will be available whenever anyone wants it from my own site. Que sera sera.....

Take care.

Robot Dreams
This must be a dream phase on MJ's ... I just listened to Kenta's creepy piece and now here is another dream concept. And what a strange idea this one is. I also went through a phase reading about dreams and read the Carlos Castaneda's Don Juan's Teachings... without peyote ... and found it very interesting. I believe you have been very successful in your visual soundscape you have created here. Very dreamy.....

Hi Stan.....
The books are fascinating and I'm trying to equate those teachings with other areas of occult (as in simply hidden) teachings from other sources. This is my ongoing AND retirement project.

Thanks for the kind thoughts.

Take care.

In space no one can hear you dream :-)
Hi Paul. Robots dreaming, eh... They probably have a software program that scrambles their artificial intelligence whilst in hibernation mode :-) I wonder if they toss and turn? A languid piece that still implies a hint of menace amid the tranquility. Thanks for the future thinking. Regards, Peter.

Hi Peter.....
Future thinking it certainly is. I often wonder at what stage AI can produce dreams. Will it be when they produce mechanical sheep? Or something more biological/computer oriented. I don't know.

Take care.

Nice Paul
How many millicyles would that amount to?

Soft undulating patterns of bliss. It is interesting to me this stepped down version in asking the question what do robots dream?

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Patty......
I read this comment and your thoughts set me to thinking about AI and the levels of i-ness (or intelligence levels) and it is a pet subject of mine so I 'went off on one' and I've still not really finished my ideas on levels of thinking and development in AI models. It is coming along nicely though, so I'll send you a copy when it's done.

It's great stuff to become immersed in, from my point of view.

Take care.

I guess ZZ is not hex. This is very cool, as it gets still around 1:15 and it accentuates the other more occasional sounds that arise. I completely get the dreaming in machine code, and it also brings forth (unsurprisingly) meanings in colour, temperature, spaciousness and forms. Lighting for me is a deep royal blue with green highlights coming from another direction. It feels like a warehouse space with boxes and large structures with a mist that makes it hard to see more than 100 metres or so.

Very cool.

Cheers Paul,
Doug

Hi Doug.....
Your thoughts are, as eve, very evocative. Maybe the non-hex values just signify what they do to humans, sleep via sawing logs.....The compartmentalising of ideas has to be a brilliant description of thought processes and types of process, along with everything that humans tend to classify and seperate from everything else. We have a default need to objectify everything and sometimes we lose the relationships between things.

Your thoughts have set me to thinking once again....about the beautiful, wondereous world we live in and experience, to the level we can. Maybe the mist you see is the boundary of your world view. As the mist clears you are more knowledgeable about whatever you are trying to focus on at that point in time. Eventually the sun will shine through.

Take care.
