Penguin Rag

This Song Temporarily Offline
Description
I few days ago I saw a video were this penguin was working like heck. No matter how hard he tried to build a nest with little rocks, this other penguin sneakily took his rocks when he was not looking. Kinda like life, when you think you got some something going, something comes up and changes things :)!

To make it worse when he tried to get some justice and get his rocks back, he gets chased away by the the penguin culprit :)

Life can be like that too :)

Penguin Rag
I recall seeing that as well on a new documentary show called "Frozen Planet." Your piece really captures the energetic, comic, and beautiful imagery in the film that first inspired you. As always your tone and technique are marvelous. Great sounding recording too. You really no how to capture a solo acoustic guitar performance.

Sneaky Penguin!
What a great little soundtrack this would be to the scene you describe. I can just see that sneaky naughty penguin waddling around to this one! Anyway, full of your usual precision. A delightful melody which I shall add to my collection of your music - with many thanks for providing it!

Penguin Rag
The law of the ice shelf! Survival of the sneakiest! Nice interpretation of the hardships encountered by these comical creatures. They don't realise that they're being comical though do they? Anthropomorphism.

Nothing comical about your playing though. Real pro sounding, as ever. Great stuff Bill.

Rag
What a lively tune - full of optimism and spunkiness. No one's getting this penguin down! The infectiousness of the mood you set is incredibly cheering.

Another gem from your magic fingers. Thanks Bill!

Classic
Some mighty fine pickin' here, Bill. Catchy repeated motif and really nice double-stop runs up and down the neck. Classic rag. Much enjoyed. Take care, Peter.

working like heck, finding joy there
The intimate clarity of recording and joyful performance are a tonic to all that is wrong in the world, a soundtrack to what is right. Thanks for sharing this.

Wow.
Some serious pickin' here! This is just so pleasant to hear: quaint, refined, beautifully played; wonderfully conceived. I agree with Tobin's comment completely. This is a tonic for a crazy world. That penguin knows something we don't, but you've been able to pick his brain with clarity and a whole lot of playing skill.

Another Beauty
This for some reason reminds me a little bit of Mississippi John Hurt with a whole lot of Tiler's own brand of fingerpicking sauce. Your great strength is how smooth and clean you play everything but there is also a good bit of soul and feeling there also. I love this style. My kind of music!

Upbeat, light and fun
Yes, life can be like that, but if you learn to get joy from building regardless of the result, and see the virtue in it, life can't do very much to you!

Playing guitar like that must be similar to that analogy - except it must be fun to play, nobody can take that away, and it's a treat for us to listen to...it really has nothing to do with the analogy.

Maybe life's just better for musicians than for penguins. It is certainly a joy to listen to you play!
