Description
Continuing my one-man assault on the piano genre here, I offer No. 8 from my collection of piano solos "By The Numbers," a simple theme pummeled mercilessly for just a bit over two minutes. If you are interested, the score can be found here:

Lovely!
Sounds like a JS Bach progression, full of counterpoint and effortless contrast, lively, inventive, mischievous and great fun!

As always, very impressed with your stuff.

Thanks for the post.

Johann Sebastian Page
Well, not precisely his style, but I had to start with something. Lots of little surprises here, just when I thought the melody (or accompaniment) would go one way it didn't and it usually took a more modern - and interesting - turn. You work your way through keys and joyful interplay of the two hands like you could crank this kind of work out in your sleep! We all know that those who can make things seem easy are the true masters. I like this one a lot - it reminds me of the touch of Glenn Gould.

I noticed the 16th note bass run at 1:29 (bar 42) didn't seem to render properly - I'm pretty sure it was not your playing but was likely momentary latency in the way the samples are called off the disk as you created the audio track. The same kind of run at 1:33 is fine.

Bravo Paul. Downloaded and much enjoyed.

Peace,
Doug

Here in Avignon I've had the pleasure of attending two concerts at the opera where the pianists were outstanding and played to great admiration from the audience. I believe that you could easily join them on stage to the same kind of acclaim!

Gorgeous and Mezmerizing
What else can be said, but your music is always a treat and so well done at every level. The little run at 1:45 is pretty.

Paul,
Very classical, but with modern twists of technique that make it so obviously a Paul Page composition. Your "By the Numbers" pieces are a rack of delightful petite fours offering the listener so many varied and delightful flavors.
