Blackwater
Full of energy and drive and great playing from both of you. I like the light and shade you bring into it in the middle, too. Superb keys and guitar. Glad you remembered you had this one, John!

Can't Stand Still.
This one is so full of energy and wonderful rhythm from the downbeat to the end. It just make you want to get up and dance (and I am NOT a dancer by any stretch). One small suggestion for an already terrific number: bring up any melodic elements a tad more so that they are more easily distinguished from the great rhythm. Oh, piano work is very very cool and so natural. This is a great number. Glad you rediscovered it and sent it along. A great listen for sure.

Yes,
what were you thinking? You'd really have to be a great dancer to keep with these beats. You two can do no wrong.

Very cool! I love Steve's powerful and rocking guitar work. Great piano playing, love the solo. I have to come up with something to showcase your synth lead chops. The synth solo was my favorite part!

Comfortable groove...
Expressive solo on the keys... That I-IV might have modulated a half step each time, that would have added some drama, would have made a more dramatic path to your floor solo? I can hear the horn part. Thanks for sharing this great piece of music. I enjoy your playing, great to hear you take a solo!

Very Cool
The first thing that came to mind was Al Dimeola. Very fluid guitar playing. I like the way you break it with the piano riffs. Great background music.

Late to the party...
This seems to capture each the two of you at your best... A nice blend of the cool and the hot, I think...

You continue to have that ability, John, to know what to put in, as glue or as solo sound, and to not drop in anything superfluous...

Both you and Steve do a nice job of playing contrasts, both which each other and within your own bits...

I must've been here before.
But, I didn't remember that somewhat terrifying mask which morphs in the mind's eye like the music morphs in the mind's ear. It is driving, isn't it. I pictured the drummer throwing the sticks in the air. It is pretty great. Thanks.

Steve's guitar work is awesome- love the inter-play between the muted stuff, bass and keys in this... I would just re-consider the Nirvana-esque section myself - doesn't work imo (at least a couple of ways) but mostly since what immediately follows is much more 'jazzy' in feel.

Good sounding stuff and stellar guitar playing.

The guitar playing in the opening half minute is pretty cool. Then at 0:36 you repeat the same pattern 4 times in which not much happens. Synth solo, guitar solo-that-could-be-a-backing-pattern. At 1:47 you start that backing pattern again. Eight times? With no further variation that is too much.

In other words, I can't figure out if this track is actually "about" anything.
