Description
Drum programming and Vsts are from Reason and the samples were twisted up in Cubase. Just a beat I had fun working on. Hope you enjoy.

Solid beat. Interesting sounds used and a nice interplay between them. Neat ending! Good one!

Back and Forth
There's an interesting polyrhythmic effect in the beginning. Until the drum beat settled in I was hearing beat one in different spot. I love when that happens. You then hear the harmonic and melodic content very differently. Harmonically this is much richer than a lot of hip-hop. The choice of smooth synth sounds enhances that richness. A suitably gifted rapper could really make this something special.

Nice
Thanks for leaving such a detailed comment, and in fact that is exactly what I was hoping for. I am happy that you picked out what to me defines this track. It was that movement and flow of the 2 samples that i really felt made this track work as well as it does ( in my opinion )

Yea but
You'll find from a hip hop writers persepctive this is much smoother to flow to. Key changes impose a set of vocal challenges most emcees don't care to attempt or master. This is why most of my "hip hop" tracks seldom change keys.

I might do another version of this and take it to another level if you're interested in a collab. Let me know.

Yea
now that I listened on my stereo I hear you. The snare needs to be changed, although I still like the kicks and drumline itself. Thanks for the opinion, always welcome.
