Lyrics
We met through a friend and the drama began
the day I saw your face
I made my move and we started to groove
on the couch at your best friend’s place

That night we started to talk and we couldn’t stop
We nearly eclipsed the moon
When the sun came up i already knew
You were gonna be the one

So I asked you
And you said yes
And then you kissed me
And I was ob-sessed

It won’t surprise you to know
In my chemical vertigo
Your eyes just stole this heart of mine
it’s a victimless crime
And I’ll do the time, yeah....

Yeah, we met through a friend and the drama began
the day i saw your face
i made my move and we’ve been groovin’
ever since that day

And now we share a love so rare
we sure eclipsed the moon
and the sun never set on the day we met
and it never will again

All ‘cause I love you
And you love me too
Our love is limitless
And I am so blessed

Yes, you stole this heart of mine
It’s a victimless crime

sounds a bit
like Angel Of Harlem. You have a beautiful and upbeat voice that makes me want to listen to more of your stuff. Nice tone on the guitars, and decent harmonica. Cool.

Another G / Cadd9 / D tune
Yes, Angel of Harlem, Least Complicated, etc. etc... I set out to bring my own thing to a common progression, and I think it yielded my most "pop" song yet. The guitars are a Tele and acoustic throughout, panned a little bit off center L and R, with a out-of-phase Strat on the solo, through my favorite Garageband amp model, the "Sunshine Drive" Orange Amp sim.

Sweet lyrics :))) Song reminds a bit of some 70's tunes - nicely done :) Love Heidi

Disco Beat
I think the 70's influence is shown mostly by the bridge, with the disco beat. I'm not much of a drummer, so I had to really practice to get that beat down, quarters on the snare, hat pedal, and bass, with off beats on the open hat, along with the crash... I felt like a "real" drummer when I got that beat down! The bass octaves drive home that disco feel. Glad you dug the lyrics, too!
