Description
Original recording was in 2008. I've wanted to remix this for a while. Today I had some time and gave it a shot. A lot of EQ changes, panning changes, and some editing choices... all which make for, what I think, is a better mix. I'll probably revisit this one again. Hope you like it.

Tweaked a little more this evening (lowered the mandolin during the last section). Rather than reposting, it can be listened to and downloaded at: http://macidol.com/Jack_Miller/audio.php

Original song description: An international collaboration: A dreamy lullaby love song for young ones and older ones. Thank you fellow band mates..
Special thanks to J.A. (Hollywood) Stewart and Ed Hannifin for their input.

Mandolin: Feter of Syria/Iraq on mandolin.
Vocals: Jack Miller of California & Roxanne Smith of New York.
Piano: Henri Roger of France.
Guitars: Jack

Lyrics
Moonlight, sleep tight
Now to bed you sleepy head.
Rainbows, sunshine
Another day waits for you.

Close your eyes, go to sleep
Drift away to your sweet dreams
Stars gleaming in the night
As you rest beneath your moonlight

Bridge:
And when the morning comes
It’ll be your time
A new day, yours to live
Your dreams to find

Moonlight, sleep tight
Now to bed you sleepy head.
Rainbows, sunshine
Another day waits for you.

Close your eyes, go to sleep
Drift away to your sweet dreams
Stars gleaming in the night
As you rest beneath your moonlight

Indeed, my friend...
Those were the days...

Best to you and the family. Maybe we'll get a itch someday that we'll just have to scratch into a song.

cheers.

Gigging with gigabytes
I am sure we transferred many gigabytes of data in the good old days with our virtual gigs. Let's do it again, sooner than later.

I am doing a fair amount of gigging locally now – at church and with my old Rocka-Rolla band. We played three weeks ago for an anniversary celebration, and will soon be playing again for my daughter's wedding reception! I have added "Flesh and Blood" and "Tennessee Stud" to our repertoire.

Roxylee,
Indeed, you sound very fine on this song. It reminds me of the dreamy quality of some American Folk songs by Stephen Foster – most notably, Beautiful Dreamer.

Coffee and lullaby...
Now there's a working song title!

Thanks again for adding your vocals to this song. With Feter, you, and Henri- "stars gleaming in the night" - the song really came together.

Hey there, Tim...
Yeah, Feter does a real nice job with the mandolin. Especially considering he was a refugee in Syria at the time going through a lot of turmoil. He'll be glad to know you liked his playing.

Thanks..

Relaxing song where everything - lyrics, melody, vocals, and arrangement works well together. Strong vocals and harmonies and the mando sounds great.

Remix
I think I remember the original of this.

I hate to say this, but while all of the invididual parts are cool to very cool, it has trouble coming together, mostly because of timing issues. Take that mandolin solo around 1:35: it is on a diffrent planet, timingwise, from the strumming acoustic guitar. Since solos are allowed to take liberties with tempo, I would just lose the guitar in that place, maybe redo it.
