Description
Hello MJ!
I have not been around much lately but wish I could be! Studio is pretty much in the closet for now-no space, no time and all the rest..I really hope to get back into music in the not too distant future.

I've had this song recorded and laying around for a couple of years and upon listening to it recently I decided to develop and post it.

The song was bare with rhythm guitars, drums, vocals and bass so I sent it to KTB and he was kind enough to send me back some fantastic piano and organ.
I've been wanting to work with Vic for years now and saw this as the perfect opportunity.
Vic not only delivered some fine electric guitars but he added background vocal work and was so kind as to mix and master this!
Real treat for me to get these guys in on this! They brought this simple tune to another level.

TG-vocals, acoustic guitars, bass
VH-electric guitars, background vocals,
JL-Piano, Organ

Lyrics
I'm riding on a slow train coming home to you again
across these open plains in this Kerouac America
I miss your face, I miss the way it tastes
and by the grace of God I won't miss that day

I'm burning oil on a slow train, slow train
through the mountains across the open plains
going home again

Blurry faces fly by, everybody got their own story in America
might be time for a rewrite
in this time of change I want to be back home with you again
and by the grace of God I won't miss that day

I'm burning oil on a slow train, slow train
through the mountains across the open plains
going home again

Rain down in the valleys and snow up in the mountains
of this countryside-I could spend my time
but I've got to get home to you so I can make it right
and by the grace of God I won't miss that day

I'm burning oil on a slow train, slow train
through the mountains across the open plains
going home again

Well done
Sounds like a complicated piece of music. Interesting chords and changes, but what do I know.

Great to one from you again. With a little help, too.
