Unadorned.
You got great energy. I see a factory turning out colorful toys at breakneck pace in an animated feature. That was fun to listen to. Thanks.

Very cool stuff this.
Lively hardly covers it! A very detailed piece cleverly constructed from simple elements. Proof that recorders aren't just for school-kids, this made me smile all through as I was listening. I needed that today, so thanks!

Bubbly
A charming and bubbly little number! I definitely hear the "industrial" or "machine" in all the musical cycles here, and some kind of steam whistles! Nice to see a photo of the instrument too.

What a fantastic piece! I love the sound of the greatbass! (Sounds somewhat similar to a dulcian...)

New sounds
Very cool piece with an almost arp-synth like effect going on - except you have to do all the heavy lifting yourself! This playing all of the recorders in unison is really impressive (even if you were an octopus). Nice contrasts between the legato lines and the activity of the 16th note chorus, with movement and energy changing hands and keeping the interest throughout.

No better way to welcome the new greatbass into the fold. Congratulations on the purchase!

Feels almost like it's messing with my brain cells a little as it circles around and around...

Nicely deep and very 'woody'...

Looper
Being lazy I played every riff once (or rather: until perfect) and then looped that in Logic.

Yes, I'm happy with the way the interaction came out. Parallel thirds, parallel fifths, parallel sevenths, .....

Always interesting to hear what you are up to and what instrument you will do it with, Vic. Clever use of looping. Keeping track of everything must have been interesting. The wonderful, woody timbre is what I like best. Regards, Peter.

Oh....!!!
That is just SOoooooooo cool. What a great inauguration. The bubble machine deal is the perfect description. I'll wager there has never been a piece written for the bass recorder that's anything like this one, and so it will live forever as a unique contribution to the genre. I am surprised that you can get so much from this instrument when played in counterpoint. Really cool, Vic.

I would say...
...that this was a very proper inauguration, indeed.

You get a beautiful tone on a notoriously difficult instrument on which to project. What make of greatbass is this?

Inventive composition, expertly played as usual.
