Description
Are you sitting comfortably????? Then I'll begin........

This mix is a gentle sit back head against pillow mix. Full of imaginary pendulums being swung in front of your nose whilst you are told to slowly count down from ten to zero.

Actually you may be counting for a while longer as this is well over eleven minutes, as the pendulum swings......

Enjoy.

Slow Counting for sure...
...but a most-peaceful time watching the seconds drift by unperturbed, kind of like a lava lamp doing its thing in liquid serenity.

Hi Paul....
Lava lamps were a thing of my youth, so the analogy is apt. They used to fascinate me with their seamless wanderings. Nowhere to come from and nowhere to go to, just endless states of 'now'. All true to themselves.

Take care.

Hi Stan.....
I'm always surprised to hear how people use my soundscapes and using them (or this one on its own) seems adventurous.

Thanks for the kind words.

Take care.

Meditative, but not necessarily calming, Paul. To me, there was always just a hint of unease, or distant menace floating through the piece. The bell like synths sound great and the undercurrent tones throb discretely away. I'm interested in how you decide the length of genre pieces like this. What factors make it 11 minutes, as opposed to 7 minutes, or 15 or whatever? It was an engaging journey, though. Regards, Peter.

Hi Peter.....
I agree. Not necessarily calming. Sometimes the contained elements in my mixes bring out, to me, the dark side of life, as opposed to the Life of Brian side.

The length of pieces is usually adjuded by me reading whilst listening to an 'almost final' mix, until I get bored, hear a decent end, or finish the book. My attention span, whilst in a book, can go from three minutes to thirty minutes, and this definitely trends with my mixes.

Take care.

Hi Harald....
Yes. Hypnotic comes to mind for me too. I stumbled upon the original 'timed' sound but had to use it as part of this mix. The rest just fell into place.

Take care.

Hi Ha Cha Cha...
I enjoy sending my listeners off on a journey. If they are lulled whilst they travel, its a great effect. We all need those moments during the day when we can let go of life to sit/lay back and drink the quiet times in a little.

Take care.
