One of my favorite standards. Your tone and feel are amazing. Wonderful arrangement. Joe Pass would be impressed!

… such as: This is beautifully and tastefully played, as always. I like the way you have a bass line, chords, and melody all going at once, and I particularly like the the solo. Always great to hear your music!

We see...
...that you have mastered the passing tones of the Old Ones, those eldritch beings whose names may not be spoken, but whose chords are numbered...

Rare indeed are the avatars among those of human sort, possessing only the limited ten digits of our kind, who have mastered the voicings of dread Cthulhu... Rarer still those who have heard the forbidden overtones and escaped madness...

Indeed, none have heard music such as this since Abdul Alhazred, he who spake: "Well...it's got a good beat and it's easy to dance to...I'll give it an eight..." before his final descent into the abyss...

Aside from this, it is still amazing how that plank of an Ibanez can sound like a big ol' jazz guitar. Well played as always, Mark...

I have no idea...
...how I managed to 'like' this twice. I've seen other people do it, and I've never gotten how, and now I've done it and I still don't know how...

Well, it's good enough for a double like anyway...

As always,
A cultured perspective that is sensitively played . I continue to be wowed by your ability to get around the guitar with what sounds like pure joy and pure ease. Terrific post, Mark. I thoroughly enjoyed the precise and peaceful way you've handled this number.

Lovely full sound to this, Mark - how are you recording it? Any particular effects? The playing is excellent - love the way you blend chords, lead line, bass and just make it all flow beautifully. Thanks for the download!

Dang....
Mark, you slay me. Sublime? Indeed. Envious I am of your skills on the guitar. You really exhibit a tender touch on that fret board on this tune. The tone... love it. Kudos and best to you.

In the pocket Mark!
As almost always, I'm at a complete loss to describe how much I enjoyed your superb playing here, but I'll try: first I love the song, one of my favorite R&H tunes, second, you so adroitly add so much inflection and reflection and always so tastefully and so very pleasingly. When a musician make his instrument "sing" (yes, I've said this before), this is one of the great marvels of music to me. I'll be listening to this for a few weeks, believe me! Thanks again Mark--and if I don't catch you until then, wishing you, your guitar, your picks, your beautiful dog and the rest of your family a very big Merry Christmas! Michael

Amazing playing.
To play up a storm on an electric guitar is relatively easy, judging by the number of people who can do so. To play with the gentleness and subtlety demonstrated in this track most certainly is not. Sublime skill, beautifully used to convey the feel of the music.

First of all;
I have always been in love, infatuated and in awe of your style and the fluidity of which the notes seem to simply melt from one to the other. That said, free download? No, no, no... This should be sold on itunes, my brother...
Recording-wise, very nice, but if it were me, i would take your reerb down just a touch, and add some highs back in post, give it some sparkle and shine at the top end.
Overall, this could be track on of fifteen on a jazz CD that i feel would sell very well....

I'm not a big fan of jazz in general but I am a fan of any music played this well.

Not exactly the musical mood Yog-Sothoth inspires in my mind however :)
