Precious Words

VERSE 1
C C7
Haven’t been counting the number of times we kissed,
F
But I know the name of each one of them,
G C Am
I remember each whispered word as we embraced,
F G
The sway of precious words with resounding bass,
C F
I memorized each little word,
C F
Memorized every line!
F C
I pray for this song to go on through the night,

VERSE 2
C C7
We’ll write a song of our own to discover,
F
And repeat the chorus many times over,
G C Am
The throbbing beat reverbs inside of me,
F G
I tremble just because what the future sees,
C F
It sees I’ve conquered every lift,
C F
The major faults of unquestioned if!
F C
I’ve bridged over rhythms now blessed is me,

Bridge
Ab C
I love you … I love you …
Ab C
I love you … darling I love you!
Ab C
I love you … I love you …
Ab C
I love you … darling I love you!
Instrumental

VERSE 3
C C7
We seem to love to moan at every upbeat note,
F
And touch the sky where the rainbows float,
G C Am
Each breathless gasp backs up sensual high,
F G
Now etched in my brain forever is our happy cries,
C F
We blew the top in minor key,
C F
I will commit to memory,
F C
The three precious words that you sang to me.
Bridge
Ab C
I love you … I love you …
Ab C
I love you … darling I love you!

Well done guys...
Kenneth and John gave your song a topnotch treatment, and it certainly deserved it. Kudos to all involved on this! Michael (yes, I'm all over the place Stan!)

Very, very interesting
Man nothing better than being pleasantly surprised by a song. This is like roadhouse country broadcast from a 1970's space station. I like it very much kids. Just a really nice song, deceptively simple because it took some talent to twist up that old chord progression this way.

There's a classic country feel to the melody (think Eddie Arnold). But the backing gives is a bit of an 80's pop feel. Love the melody in the chorus (the repeated "I love you" part). Nice instrumental solo section.

Good drive from the backing. Upfront vocal gets the message across well. I like the feel of the song - good one!
