They Grow and They Glow

Description
This mix was put together in the same composing session as the 'They Grow and They Fade', hence the similar title. This one is more of a Monday Matinee Crime Thriller Something or Other soundscape. I think.

It's a longer piece, coming in at 11:40, if you last that long. Dib and dip is what I say. Pause (or even Stop) is an ideal button to have under the circumstances. Don't hesitate.

Hi Narad........
I wonder if Escher came to mind whilst you were listening to the mix?? Dipping in sounds like a good idea.

Take care.

I don't know what you're doing
but I get a totally different feeling listening to this today than I did yesterday, and I listened all the way through both times. Whatever you did, I like this one a lot: I think it's better than the last few you've posted. And I like the idea of reading a crime thriller while this plays ;-)

Hi Richard.....
I generally don't have any ideas where I'm going with my mixes or of any linking thoughts, etc.. so they come out of my head and I just try to grab them and record what I imagine. Hopefully there will be some good mixes in with the more mundane potboilers.

I hope you find the crime thriller that you can get your teeth into, over Christmas.

Take care.

Ominous.
You've got that right, Paul. There is suspense at every turn, here. Like all of your posts, you do have an amazing sense of pacing, never letting the imagery get away from you (or the listener) and always taking your time to let the harmonic changes emerge unrushed. That's a very satisfying aural experience for me and you accomplish it with a deft hand on the levers.

Hi Paul........
Thank you for the kind words. If what I do gives the listener a semblance of what I had imagined then I can carry on doing what I do, with variations in content.

It is always good to know you have listened and that you are satisfied with a piece of my work. All is made worthwhile to me.

Take care.
