Description
I put the music together last weekend ... my friend and bandmate Rob George did the bass track for me last Saturday ... I used my godin acoustic electric for the guitars ... did the vocals this morning and wish I had more time for the mix ... it's the season ... busy busy,... here is my attempt at a Christmas song.
Merry Christmas to everyone!

Amazing.
Most songs containing the phrase "Merry Christmas" annoy the hell out of me, so it's quite an achievement to write this, which not only did not irritate me but I enjoyed it. Your vocal work is so emotional and heart-felt I'm sure it's a major factor, and the guitar in this is also lovely.

Merry Christmas
Great work, Stan. Love the tone of the guitars and you just make them sing so beautifully. The Godin is very warm, aided by the occasion string parts. Gentle, emotive vocal. Everything clear in the mix. I get a bit of Harry Manx in this (and he's a favourite of mine). Thoughtful lyrics. George plays a nice supportive bass line. Neat sound effects at the end, too! Thanks for this gift - and Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Love this Stan.....
the opening resonates with Nina Simones "I wish I knew how it would feel to be free" which I know from the theme tune to the BBC "Film " programme....but is sufficiently differently nuanced to be it's own thang......

The lyrics are masterly sung and sentiments do not gloss into saccharine.

A tightly rigged ship and sailed straight and true as she goes skipper .....merry christmas to you and yours......

Merry Christmas
I liked the line "Jews, Muslims, and Christians alike , we all feel the same pain." How true. This is a song of peace, a song of hope . . . a Christmas song. A really, really fine job on this song!

the vibe...
is so smooth and is coming through. A merry Christmas is, indeed, in the heart of this song. Stan... this is a beautiful tune. Lyrics reach out to the common man... the everyman. This should be in years future, a classic. Well sung and well produced.

That's some sweet guitar work!
What a great instrumental track...and then you add such a mellow vocal. Hard to miss being a little hit, Stan. This is such a pleasant track to listen to. Many thanks for the global good wishes, but especially for the magic of your deft guitar pickin'. Love all those bent notes (that I can't do on a piano! Darn!). Wonderful post.

I have been away a long time and come back to this nice seasonal greeting. MJ really is a great place.I don't see where you could mixed it any better. The guitars are perfectly balanced with the voice and very well placed.
