Description
Another short piece from my iOS music class. This uses base tracks created in Figure, which is a really slick little app by Propellerheads and uses the sound engine from Reason. The tracks were Audio Copy/Pasted into garageband where I also added some arpeggiated synths from Alchemy Mobile as well as additional instruments and loops from iOS Garageband.

The name is from the auto-generated name from Figure (anytime you start a new project, Figure creates a random name)

Just a really neat collection of sounds and spaces...

I do wish that I knew my way around a keyboard...synth people are having the most fun...

Very impressive.
iPads and the like are now very powerful, and those vocal samples are amazing. Nicely composed too, this moves at a fresh pace.

Cool retro feel and then it takes on its own life
And you have all these little clips, vocals, and stingers going on too which make this a really interesting piece. Great sound variety as the piece develops, catchy groove, and overall a fun fun listen. It's impressive how much you can do with iOS. I've tried Alchemy mobile but never moved anything to the mac to finish. This provides inspiration though....

Thanks Graham,
Doug

Fantastic
Just a great piece Graham and even more so that you created it on the iPad. So many details in this. The mix is cool too. Thanks both for the D/L and info on the instruments you used.

Genre Info
Electronic dance music is a broad set of percussive music genres that largely inherit from 1970s disco music and, to some extent, the experimental pop music of Kraftwerk. Such music was originally borne of and popularized via regional nightclub scene
