Description
One friend described this as a "fun tune that belongs in a Tim Burton film". I describe it as my first ever attempt at a Cinematic Soundtrack...and it shows. It took a lot of time and work to get it even to this point, and I used a conglomeration of freeware voices and demos because I'm too poor to afford anything nice to work with.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy it, I know a real composer could make this sound a lot better and give it some variety, but this is as far as my abilities and experience allows me to go so far. Here's to a new world of composition for CraizeeMusic.

Yup, hearing the Tim Burton vibe! The freeware and demo voices work great. Love the little bits of harmony and counterpoint. The brass at about 2:10 was a surprise. Gave it a Mr. Kite vibe. Love the oboe!

Really nice
Tim Burton, yes it is! Sort of toyshop, clockwork vibe. Whatever free offerings you've used, you've used them really well. Nice mix!

Good deal!
I tried to spruce them up, EQ them, and add effects that would make them sound less freeware and more realistic. Thanks for listening and commenting!

I agree with the Tim Burton Reference ....

I hope to create more songs along this genre! They're a lot of work though, and it takes a lot write them.

Ominous and relentless.
For the right movie this would be superb. That relentless feel and the sense of a clock ticking is just right for a build-up of some kind. Nice work, I hope you try more of this sort of thing.

An alternate title...
I thought of different titles like "An Inventor's Workshop" or even "The Clock-Maker's Challenge". Glad you liked it!

Corpse Bride
Comes to mind, sure, but I hear a little Bolero in there as well. A really nice mix.

If you are anything like me, don't look too eagerly for expensive stuff. Even it such may pay off in some respects, they will surely cost you time to learn as well as the cash, and if you put that time into your existing equipment/software I'm pretty sure you'll make just as good music and you'll be much happier (and richer) along the road. Actually, you just proved me right, didn't you ;-)

(Of course there is a lot to be said on this topic, but if you're happy with your "host" program then this is my current advice...)

Looking forward to more of this kind and I hope for a good (musical) 2013 for you!

Take care,
Henke

I LOVE
this. It gets the darker vibe from the thunder crashes. Great for a puppet theater for adults. Ooh, now something really big is gallomping in. Evocative. Very entertaining. Thanks.

I have a musical soul. Music moves me in deep ways and I love playing with sound. That is why, for writing music, I love techno and similar genres. I listen to just about everything, but when it comes down to stimulating my creative nature, the piano... [see more]
