Description
Two Alchemy tracks: Primera Dreams Loop and Pulsing Toto Arp, playing midi by me. Another minimalist tune. Enjoy and, Happy New Year everyone. May your year be filled with enchanting melodies, soulful harmonies and driving rhythms, unless that's not your thing. In which case, may you get what you need.

Congratulations
On such a nice start for the new year. Really liked this TD-like tune which seems to go with the flow. Incredible sound for just two(?) tracks!!

There is one note I would have liked differently - the last in the repeated phrase at 1.02 and other places - but even with it it's a very enjoyable listen.

Thanks and take care,
Henke

Thank you Henke
for being first and for being a consistent fan: I appreciate both. I'm not sure which note you are referring to: I don't hear anything particularly "off", but I'm happy that it doesn't spoil the enjoyment.

No, no
Nothing "off" or faulty, just taste ;-) It might have been nice with the variation at that point, that's all...

Nice ambient piece. I like the way one of the lines gallops a little around the 2:24 mark - good contrast. Warm sounds throughout. Good one, Richard.

Hi Vic
Yes, Alchemy is a fabulous synth; far too much power and possibility for my simple abilities, but I love playing with it. Maybe someday I'll figure out how to use it properly but in the meantime I'll just keep getting some cool sounds out of it. Thanks for dropping in and for the good words.

Astral Traveling
Evocative tune with a nice melodies! Good sounds too (although there might be a bit too much reverb on the lower frequencies for my taste :)

Hippy New Year 2 U 2, J
I've never read any of those books, and I don't remember why I titled it the way I did, but it seems to work. Thank you Sir Chris.

Real nice Richard ... I've always had a thing about astral travelling and also posted a tune about a year ago ... you have some real nice sounds happening and the melody is spacey and ethereal. Like the rhythm change at about 2:18 and how it builds into the mix very subtly ... Nice one!
Cheers

Trancing
Very nice... I have a soft spot for this kind of sound. It reminds me of Tangerine Dream and the like. This is good ear candy, it put my ears in a trance for a while.

Lovely and chilled
Alchemy is brilliant, don't use it as much as I should.
Nice sounds and well composed, nice floating journey.

Very odd
I'd been thinking about astral traveling recently and wondering if our security forces had ever thought about using it for spying (I have strange thoughts but if you've ever read The Men Who Stare at Goats then maybe it's not so odd)

Back to the music, very nicely put together with a good choice of sounds.

Cheers

Astral Lift...
This piece takes me out of 'thought' mode into 'feel' mode in a pleasing way. It suggests the positive unknown - a bit like a dream you have that you can't actually member, but know it made you feel a little bit better.. if that makes any sense. Nice way to start today!

I let my mind wander as I listened to this piece. The title and your picture made me think of an astronaut that had become disconnected from his ship and was now floating through space. A very cool piece for the imagination. Thanks for posting it.

We
all astral travel when we dream. It has to be kick if you can do it while awake. The buzzy pulse acts like a second hand ticking off time, perhaps, to remind the traveler of time spent away from the body and that there must be a journey back even though it is way too cool to be astral-ly traveling. Nice and chilly. Thanks.

I
like the arp synth, it blends together well with the melody you are playing. A nice change up too, a great choice of sounds that makes an enjoyable listen.

I like this type of electronic ambient. A mix of TD and Vangelis, maybe, but don't let that stop you from making more in this vein. The space is big. Beautiful production quality.

Wherever One Lands
Richard, I'm really digging this tune. I love the randomness! No destination, just wherever one lands, and then you run with it. The minimalist approach works great here, with new colors and arps added very delicately. Nice tune, man!
