Strong in both rhythm and melody.
Sparky and mysterious, a lively little tune for sure. I like the strength of the bass particularly.

Sampletank!
I usually use synthed basses but in this on I used a funk plucked sample - so it probably originates from a real bass which makes a difference :) Thanks for listening (and noticing!).

Funky cool Mike
I enjoyed hearing this as I read your "gory details" (though the embedded download didn't work). I don't have an iPad (yet) so I didn't memorize anything: I can always come back for reference. You are apparently having fun with your toys so don't let me disturb you: keep on experimenting and sharing your results. They're fun for us too.

Thanks for reading the "book"
Its a long blogpost! I appreciate your listening as well as reading. I sometimes get so hung up in playing on the iPad that I take a step back and think..well, its not exactly productive music-wise - but I think sometimes its the process itself that is fun. If you do spring for one, you'll enjoy it - particularly in using with Garageband or Logic. I love using the guitars or strings on the iPad and then finishing off the piece on the Desktop.

funktank
interesting groove.
that fat bass drives the whole thing. I like how you built things around it.
At a certain point it made me think of Emerson Lake & Palmer.
Enjoyed!
