Even more
a lovely work gentle with the open optimism of an early morning dawn.

Those notes that didn't belong in the first version aren't missed though from my perspective perfectly understandable. Nearly everything I release I several days latter ask why didn't I catch that?

Hi Paul. I have been away travelling since Christmas so it is great to get back to some of your music. The opening bars are wonderful and the variations you develop for the repeated motif are engaging and clever. Much enjoyed. Regards, Peter.

Ol '55
What a lovely piece. Sorta Copeland-esque, but the meter and the harmonies push it in a slightly angular and less predictable direction.Enjoyed!

My earlier comment
about not hearing cowboys was just for fun. Call me crazy but there are two places where I thought I heard a little Copland: about :30 and again at about :45. Alright, I AM crazy but it is still a very pretty little number. Literally.

This
puts me in mind of a bike ride around one of those pretty little American Towns like you get in 'Murder She Wrote', but you certainly didn't murder any notes in this Paul, with those deft little fingers on the keys (dare I say 'LOL'), cheers M

joyful lightness and subtlety
Listen to this I am reminded of this warm, sunny afternoon when I tried to appreciate the beauty of a tiny light blue butterfly flying from flower to flower, the white borders around its wings fluttering like the still glowing thread of light bulb, even when you try to hold it still - full of vibrant energy - not restlessness, and whenever geting close, it would playfully fly away going on and on like this sentence and much like your beautiful trac...what? over already? blurg.

Seriously though, one perk of posting a new song is the inspiration to look around and see what my MJ friends have been up to, and whenever I come by a new post from you (or a previous post for a second and third listen) I am always rewarded with these musical jewels. So enjoyable! Especially like how you resolve the phrase around 0:20 - 0:25.

The notes chase each other like my thoughts. This is mostly happy and energetic. Enjoyed.
