Chasing Ambulances

Description
Way back in 2008 ,my first song uploaded on this account was called "The Ambulance Chaser Finds Love". Over the intervening years I've learnt a lot about songwriting and production and I though I'd do a George Lucas, and revisit it. So here it is, all new and improved.
I carried the bass and drums over from Garageband into Logic, and started again from scratch with all the guitar work. I then rejigged the song to tidy up transitions, re-recorded the bass and then reworked the drums using the original samples. Finally I re-recorded the vocals in their entirety ,making some changes to the harmonies and some parts of the melody which were weak.
I took the big decision to drop the original riff as I felt it did nothing for the song, choosing to use palm mutig for the intro.
All in all I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, and feel it is a better representation of the song that was in my head back in 2008, than the original posting.

Chasing ambulances
Love those driving guitars. Vocals full of energy and the harmonies interweave well. The guitar solo from 2:00 fits the song just right. The work has paid off! Good one!

Guitars in overdrive. Quality alt rocker, Paddy. The song reverberates in your head. Big production, big sound. Thanks, Peter.

Man now it's ALL psychedelic furs. Too much fun. Even the mix. Just enough atmosphere, just enough shine. Very cool, dl'd.
