Description
A cuban jazz style piece composed with the Kontakt West Africa Drums, Logic cuban upright piano and baby bass, Tal-U-No-X (Roland Juno) and Wivi Band flute (performed on Akai EWI). Really like the rhythmic possibilities of the drums.

Love the percussion ... Kontakt has some excellent sounds. I use it all the time. Great fresh feel to this. Like how the synth compliments the piano.
Enjoyed this.
Like the image ... who's the artist?
Cheers

Thanks for listening
Also credited the art - had to do a reverse image search - the site I got it from was anonymous. I am enjoying the Kontakt sounds as well, tons of sounds to go through. Recently bought Komplete 8.

double tracked flute
Thanks! The "flute" is Wivi Band flute played with the EWI (Electronic Wind instrument) - so its modeled but should be close. I think it misses some of the breathy sounds with this plugin but I like it. I used 2 voices slightly detuned to give it a little depth.

Cuban
Cool piece. Be careful with your solos: there are a number of spots where your solo plays the same 3+3+2 rhythm as the bass. That's kind of a giveaway that it was all played by one guy rather than a band.

Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. I blogged about the hazards of "solo" jazz before - you miss the back and forth and reaction to other influences when you play every part. Think that happens a bit here too. There is something heretical about creating jazz style pieces solo :)
