No scene
Really good arrangement for a protest song and backing for the spoken word section. Good work, thanks.

Love the message, Daug. I've seen the chilling effect here in Mpls. Some folks fear big gov't, but it is corporate lawyers and their paymasters (and, yes, a bought congress) who've rammed thru the copyright juggurnaut. Disney and Sonny Bono being two of the culprits. Well done, sir,

Scene Control
Interesting dialogue in this, and the frenetic music suits the tone of the speaker. Powerful work, Daug.

Hello Sam
Is this all it took to get a comment out of you? Perhaps you have had personal experience with ASCAP/BMI... Maybe a little passionate about this issue? Good to see you in the house my friend!

Odd layers. a corporate talent killin' outfit these people are or are they protecting some interests like everyone else?

Hello Andy
Odd? Don't really understand that comment. This is four, with perhaps more push than you will find elsewhere. Some of the guitar phrasing is in odd groups but I can't help that... lol, that comes from just going for the thing in the one take mode. You get what ya get- mistakes and all.
ASCAP is protecting the interests of big music, but the burden of proof is on little music to prove otherwise, ASCAP will send spies and tape live performances to produce evidence music was played. Legally that is all they have to do to bring fines down on the venue. They control the scene through the venues.

Yes Fergie I have been here since the place opened. In fall 2009, I erased the 60+ tunes I had posted since day one. The community here had changed, becoming hateful and repressive, and I needed to respond appropriately. What happened?... [see more]
