Sounding very nice, Bill. That bluegrass rag finger picking style is one of my favourites and you are such a fine exponent of it. The rich timbre of your vocals works so well against it, too. Quality listen. Thanks, Peter.

Lovely tone to the guitar - nice and crisp. Lilting, clean-as-a-whistle finger-picking is a delight! Love the ending phrase. Easy vocal style. Much enjoyed, Bill.

Your magic fingers and velvet voice do this one proud Bill. I've always been taken at the clean picking you are able to achieve, let alone the lovely musicality of your interpretations.

Nice!!

Thanks
Peter, Phiip and Doug.

I guess ever since I heard Elvis sing this I always liked it. I guess that "That's Alright Mama" feel got to me as a little kid during the Elvis era and I have not been the same since:) Even though I love classical, ragtime etc. I think singers at an early age really sunk deep. Of course I don't look like Elvis nor really sound like him, he sure had a profound effect on my as a kid. :) Thanks again !

Cool one Bill

love that pickin' n' grinnin' style- haven't heard you sing much- kinda Johnny Cash like to my ears- and a missed opportunity on the final line to scale down real low. Enjoyed!

one of my fave rock'n'roll classic and I love the way you have done it. Faultless in any department ie. playing and vocals. As listener friendly as it gets.

Sublime
My partner and I were just in Kentucky about a month ago, visiting the Mammoth Caves in Cave City, KY. I think what struck me most was the gorgeous, hilly scenery as we drove in on the interstate. The other thing I noticed was how BLACK the night sky was, which made the stars seem to shine that much more brilliantly. And speaking of which, you shine brilliantly as well on this piece Bill; your playing always delights as well as astonishes me. Truly enjoyed this performance--thanks for sharing it! Michael

Hey...
I've got a version of Paul McCartney singing this one...

I think you're getting into making some canny choices about what tunes suit your vocal approach, Bill...

The recording itself catches a nice unified acoustic space in which the vocal and the guitar are both huge and natural...
