Description
This is a mix I completed over the weekend. I am again using the Astral Dreamer soft synth. I don't know if I like this synth. There are too many mediocre presets so I'm gonna have to make some myself or add the random factor, or stick with the updated Zebra 2 and Diva synths, which have just had a makeover.

Imagine a bored atronaut with nothing left to do except while away the time in daydreams. S/he is alone. All transmissions completed for the time being, no personal messages to do, and pretty much all that's left to do is sit in the observation room, looking out at the vast emptiness interspersed with the occasional star cluster or glowing dust mass.

Pro Forma....
I'd expect nothing less from Paul Reinholt than a "stellar" spacescape that captures the enormity of the cosmos. Right up there with all your wonderful and pulsing rides. (I wonder, though— now that I have listened to dozens of your compositions— whether you've ever given thought to a slightly less ponderous perspective of the space ride...something that perhaps was lighter and that could support even a bit of real melody or the tinkly lights of distant stars that pinpoint the horizon in all directions. This is just a thought that popped into my head while reflecting on this composition. ... In any event, you have once again handled the effects with panache and great restraint, too.

Listened on a Tuesday
And it was okay. I like the mix of sounds and the spacing of them.

Thanks for the download.

Another 'float chamber' style piece, Paul. You have captured 'bored astronaut syndrome' perfectly. I did imagine I was looking out on the vastness of space. Take care, Peter.
