Sounds like...sounds like...
You're obviously having some out-of-body/mind fun here. Highly usable noise here. Very cool-dark. Beam me up!

Next time I'd like to split my output
and run it through our bass amp at the same time. Or - strike it rich and buy a really nice tube amp.

are these things
hard to use?

can you do similar stuff in augustus loop...is it easier or harder than using one of these?

by the way....this is brilliant

no - no - and thanks
the ditto looper is very simple to use as is the Boomerang. But neither of them are central to the tonality and texture of what you are hearing. To some extent the Boomerang degrades layers a little bit more as they are added but it's still 16bit recording. The Ditto is 24bit and seems cleaner. What you are hearing in the variations is the Boomerang running clean and the Ditto being processed through a Moogerfooger Ring Modulator and a t.c. electronic Flashback Delay. Then I am adjusting the levels of the two outputs. I never actually touched the guitar once this gets started. There are about four layers on the Boomerang and two on the Ditto. The Boomerang is at the end of my effects chain - and the Ditto is after compression and dirt - and before filters and delays. I think it would be hard to replicate this with Augustus - but something cool would happen if you tried I'm sure.

Interesting
These synth and sound effect adventures remind me of "70s Fripp and Eno. I like the second half best, where you work in more sound variety. Well worth the listen. Thanks.

Having been a predominantly acoustic based guitarist all my life, I find pedals, other than O/D, reverb and chorus a bit mystifying. You certainly seem to have a handle on what they offer and how to manipulate them, Bud. This is intriguing and spacey. That this it is mostly loops is cool. Thanks, Peter.

My head is spinning...
I thought I was being cool using some standard plugins. Here, you have looped together so much electronic noise from a battery (ha!) of distinct sound-producing machines and have come up with what I can only describe as MY NERVES ON EDGE. You are one inventive, creative dude, Bud.
