Lyrics
When your feet don't touch the ground
You're running too fast
Take your time till you have found the things that last

I believe in love and peace and everything between
I believe in things that are not true
I believe that some folks are not really human beings
I believe in you

Why the repost
I put this up for Daugrin and Llarion to hear, as I think it's much improved from the first version, thanks largely to their suggestions. That's what MacJams is all about. I also appreciate everyone's else's comments - what a great community to belong to.

That repeating guitar part was quite catchy. Good job with the vocals and harmonizing. The guitar solo that comes in after the 2 minute mark reminds me somewhat of George Harrison's style/sound. This was a pleasure to listen to.

Favourite Beatle
It's remarkable that whenever anyone hears slide guitar they think of George. It was deliberate on my part - it was a real dead spot in the song otherwise. Nice of you to listen and comment.

I'm on vacation
so I have time to obsess. (I only left the house yesterday for some tomatoes.) I've learned a lot in a short time. It's great. Thanks for checking it out again.

Yeah, this definitely is better!
My only nit now, is you have that nice fat kick in the intro, then it dropped out for the first verse, then it was back, the it was gone again... It's best to leave it in the whole way... Vast improvements all around otherwise!

Way ahead of you!
I noticed the same thing, and have fixed it - also I redid the slide guitar break and brightened it, then had a go at the handclaps ... Now I'm going back over older recordings using the same techniques that you suggested. It's going to be a busy summer, but I'm so happy to be able to do so. Thanks again.

Getting better all the time
I won't be re - re - posting, as the latest version is only incrementally better, but the general standard of my recordings has reached another plateau, and that's a very good thing. Thanks for your time, Graham.

Quite a compliment
I've been checking out your stuff, and am pleased at praise from one so accomplished. I hope to record new songs and spiff up old ones this summer, hurricanes allowing. Thanks for your time, Gerald.

Thank you, Ramona
I might add that Harry Nilsson is also my favourite Beatle, but that's another story. Looking forward to your next release, ma'am.

Sweet Tout
I'm listening through a substandard system, but I can tell that it sounds MUCH better now. But mostly, and more importantly, it's a decidedly stylized, smooth but engaging, inimitably Grahamish piece of work. And there's nothing like a nice tambourine, eh? You sometimes allude to the (possible) fact that you're an old geezer, but your voice is that of a young man. How do you do that? Well, no matter, the Graham sound ....

Good genes
and many, many drugs. But seriously, just say no, boys and girls, ha ha. I did, once. Once. Where was I? Speaking as a card - carrying old fart, I can only suggest that it's because I haven't spent years belting it out on stage. I don't even shout at kids at school - they get more than enough of that already. Thanks for your encouragement, Les. Now, where's Sam? I want him to know that I know what a roll - off mop herring filter is at last. Or something.

Yeah, yeah, yeah!
I hear all good stuff from the wisdom in the lyrics to the very positive music and the upbeat handclaps. Nice. Thanks.

Thanks, Charlene
I think this ended up as a love song to my wife, who I believe actually exists, and is actually very talented in all kinds of ways. I like to leave lyrics a bit vague and interpretable, otherwise it may as well be an essay written by Michael Gove. I appreciate your support very much.

Getting Better all the time
I've had time this week to do some research into the world of high - and low - pass filters, the sound spectrum and so on. It's going to make a real difference in future recordings. Thank you for encouraging me to make the effort.
