Miracle Product

Description
This song grew out of flipping through cable channels with the television remote and being (somewhat) amazed at how many programs were devoted to selling you life-changing products.

I'm not satisfied with the line "take two ounces in the morning with breakfast" because it seems too specific for a generalized theme. I'd like something more universal .. but what that something is I haven't conceived. Suggestions welcome : )

The image art came from punching "miracle product" into the Google image search engine. I don't know if it represents a "real" product .. or if it's somebody else"s joke.

Number game
I purposefully left out the number .. because otherwise I figured I'd get swamped with calls : )

Miracle Product
Enjoy that first chord and especially your guitars playing with each other.
You could've been a pitchman - got an honest (kind of like Neil Young talking) sounding voice.
As for the miracle product, I don't doubt many would swear by it!
'Chew one or two of these for breakfast,' would be my contribution.

Carrying over
I was going for more of a relaxed feel to the guitar work .. compared to the more heavy tones of recent posts. As for pitching products .. I did a career stint in sales ..so maybe there's some carryover : )

Weird Al Meets Neil Young
This was a lot of fun. I love the disjointed relationship between the guitars. As for the two ounces thing, try "one dose" or "one serving", or "one application"... :)

Improving the miracle product

Straight to video
Thanks, Tim. A video would be fun .. but it would have to be as absurd as the commercials that inspired this piece : )

Nice parody.
Yeah, big promises, but will it cure the common cold? I doubt it. I like the humour here and even the way that the string bends affect some of the notes is perfect for the humorous mood.

Product parody
Ha-ha .. there is no cure for the common cold .. but that doesn't stop people from spending billions on products that claim to work. Thanks for the listen and comment.

Deserves more than 6 fans.
Wonderful work Warren.

I love the off the wall approach. A sort of American Woofer3.

Cheers

Well this song works in minutes. Even less :-) A nice slice of pick-me-up absurdism. Pity it's so true... Do you get steak knives with it? Thanks, Peter.

Good point!

Except you probably should say "if any of these products worked …"

That jingling sound you hear .. is coming from all the money being spent on miracle cures : )

Channeling Neil
Wow! Fun song! What's sad is that even being the sophisticated, intelligent, dynamic thinker individual that i am (okay, slightly educated redneck) I have fallen for some of this stuff from time to time. I think it is part of that fleeing reality thing I just wrote to you about. I have to agree with some of the other comments that for whatever reason you really sound like Neil Young here. But that made it just that much more enjoyable.
