Description
One of my favorite things about being a Musician is sitting around talking with other Musicians about of course Music...When sitting around after practice the conversation always would come around to the Groove of a song. In New Orleans as you could guess we use cooking to describe getting in the groove or "that tune really cooks"...One of our Favorite dishes in New Orleans is Gumbo. To make a good Gumbo my Mother would always let it Cook a long time and simmer. This would make all the spices really stand out and taste really good. Relating that to music and all the conversations after or before Band practices or gigs, I have come up with "Funk The Horns" A song to describe how to make a groove and also make it cook! I have always liked the great Horn band like Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, and Chicago. So sit back and listen to the recipe for a Groove.
