Description
August always makes me feel a little wistful... I wanted to sit down and capture that feeling in a simple little piece for piano.

And yes, it's been a while! I've been so focused on writing (and on the publication of my first poetry chapbook!!), that I really haven't touched composing for a while. But now I think I've got "the bug" again to compose a few piano pieces. Looking forward now to catching up on all my Macjams faves!

Sweet and, yes, wistful...
Very pleasant, unrushed, subtle, and just delightful to listen to. The small "rush" around 1:25 caught me a little off guard, but then I looked at your photo/graphic and imagined a slight and sudden gust of wind through the grass...and you use the same "hurry up" technique around 2:16 which gives the whole composition a sense of unity amongst the various elements of mainly arpeggiated chords. This is a piece that captures peacefulness in a wonderfully precise and succinct way. Lovely. More, please...

I think it's daytime music
It sounds like blue skies ---maybe a farewell to them until next time, I don't know. Wistful is the perfect word for it, but there's some feeling of contentment in there. A rare feeling. Nicely captured.

Lovely, peaceful work, Sarah. It gave me a contented feeling. Nice recording, too. Analogue sounding. Much enjoyed. Thank you. Regards, Peter.

I enjoy the way you compose!
Very touching and I really like you choice of photo it seems to go SO well with the music. I can almost see the soft wind blowing the tiny blades of grass. I feel like it is almost holding secrets of a beach on the other side where two lovers once often visited :)
Thanks Sarah ! Sorry I didn't get to this precious tune earlier!
Thanks for sharing. You are truly one of my favorite members at Macjams because OF the way you compose and how touching you seem to write with those keys!

Total amateur but I love what I do. I've been more focused on the writing and the painting lately so I tend to pop in and out of macjams at random, infrequent intervals. But I love catching up on my favorite artists and discovering some new ones al... [see more]
