Lyrics
Small talk can be quite telling of a society and together we stand, with no dissent, in solidarity.
Atsui, ne! Atsukunai? Atsui deshou. So desu, ne. Samukunai...ho, ho, ho.
Even gaijin can play, momentarily part of the sigh - when this island's close to the sun, the temperature is high.

kazoo hero
I was thinking about buying one again after all these years.
Can you recommend a particular make?
A DJ on the radio wanted to start a game called Human Buckaroo where you were meant to just keep saying' 'it's hot. I can't believe how hot it it; It's too hot' until someone flipped out and told you to shut up.
Though I can't imagine the polite well mannered people of Japan reacting to stuff like that.
Anyway
Cool track and great kazoo solo. Sounds like a mosquito in an echo chamber
cheers

Very
very catchy Ste', love the percussion ....ahh yes, the Kazoo; we used to use a comb and paper if we couldn't afford one ....you put it to excellent use here, cheers M

Love it!
Sort of a Tears for Fears thing going; and a KAZOO SOLO!!! You really captured the essence of a tenor sax with that; very impressive indeed! You should check out Nikki Blum and the Gramblers "Van Sessions" on Youtube, she does a mean kazoo thing too!

You have amply demonstrated "even gaijin can play" :-) Catchy as all get out. Wonderfully restrained arrangement. Hot and cool at the same time. Sugoi! Thanks, Peter.

Angry fly
I like the rhythm unit in this. The kazoo sounds like the aforementioned angry fly, and scores 30 on the wackyometer.

Catchy
seems to be the operative word for this. I can see why.
Love the dry humor as well.

Quirky goodness!
I love this song and I'm not sure exactly why. Maybe just the uniqueness of it all. No Japanese in my vocab but damn if it wasn't hot today.

I was listening
to Half Man Half Biscuit the other today.

I know they're from Liverpool and I seem to remember you're from the other place but ........

This is fantastic. A comb and paper break. Genius :-)

Impressive work Ste. Great backing and very cleverly put together.

Cheers

All of the above...
...and such a gentle little groove that even I like. Uh, oops. It just ended. :( Wish there was a bit more. Seems there's plenty here to suggest a longer track, perhaps with a very distinct solo springing out of the two chord harmony.

love it
really like that little lead under the verse. Only lasts half the verse and totally sells the song. Subtle, subtle, subtle. Also the dub sax. Is that sax? It's fantastic whatever it is. Man I haven't been here in an age and I see one of your tunes at the top of the popular list. Tops. Thanks for the DL.

How Hot is it?
You have a point. When it's hot it's hot and when you're not you must be in Canada. I was born in Louisiana and live in Texas so I can relate. Here in Austin it is almost a religion to keep up with how many days in a row the temp goes over 100 degrees F.

Like the laidback groove you have here. Very good stuff.
