Description
Classical piece from Noatikl for iPad and Audiobus - recorded via Audiobus into BeatMaker 2 this time due to stressing out the CPU :). Had 5 apps going at once to record this one.

the
beginning has an almost john carpenter sound. a good (slightly sinister) base for the brighter strings above. enjoyed

Thanks!
I went with synths for the main strings in this case - the solo violin is a string sample - hoped for a somewhat dark feel to it.

Cinematic
Are these all ipad instruments? I'm guessing those orchestral sounds are samples, which had me wondering how many -if any- physical modeling synths there are for ipad....
In any case, this marches right along. The picture looks cold, but the music is warm.

All iPad
Yes these are all samples - I used SampleTank for everything except the Timpani which is Thumbjam (also a sampler). There isn't really much in physical modeling on the iPad - limited CPU. The closest might be Audulus which does allow for additive synth or maybe Addictive synth but nothing like on the desktop for physical modeling. All other forms of synthesis are pretty well covered though.

Nice oboe
I like the combination of the airy soaring of the melody with the relentless plodding sense of movement in the underscore. Makes me think of Andreas Vollenweider a little, minus the harp of course.

Thanks!
Glad it worked out. I was pushing the upper limits of the iPad CPU in this one and had to keep changing up patches and tools to find a combo that didn't click or distort :)
