Stegt flæsk (alternate take)

Description
Llarion had suggested trying a harmon mute for the trumpet part (a good one!). I used a harmon mute with stem on the Trumpet part which seems to fit a bit better - other than that, same as last take :)

A jazz fusion piece performed on the Akai EWI dedicated to my favorite "Death on a platter" dish. Features Logic X electric piano, guitar, brush kit along with SampleModeling Tenor sax, Trumpet, Korg M1 and potatoes in cream sauce

Thanks
I am happy with the samplemodeling trumpet - sounds great with the EWI. Just have to work on technique and fingerings now.

Nailed. It.
Oh yeah, that's perfect! The mournful tone was begging for that aching emotion of the muted trumpet! That really purfied the emotion of the piece! Thanks for taking the suggestion! By the way, the doubled melody at the end is super cool, I neglected to metion that before!

Great suggestion
I appreciate the feedback you gave and more still the suggestions. I love the track stack feature of Logic X - works great for the unison parts!

Thanks!
Glad you liked the flow. The chords were a bit interesting in this one. Found myself playing in different keys in different measures for this piece. More complicated than my usual professions. Kept my MIDI guitar fairly simple - can't match what you do with a real one!

Dang it...
Now I'm really really hungry and I'm trying to lose weight. Why does cool music have to be about love or food! Come one! ok you when... off the the fridge then I'll take another listen!

This is stunningly interesting with the organ pleeping a way here and there (that's my word by the way... pleeping... Not bleeping, put pleeping and now it's not an obscene work, it came out that way cause my mouth was stuffed with a potato when I tried to describe to my wife how much I liked this song and I was trying to say that organ sits in the back begroung bleeping away and it came out pleeping, and she laughed so hard she spooled potatos all over the counter.

So I'm calling up websters to get it added right now! Urban dictionary has it wrong... This has nothing to do with manners... it's all about potatoes and organs placed perfectly.

Spot on great. Very nicely done. I need more potatoes!

Pleeping!
I'll take pleeping anyday. Don't focus too much on the potatoes, the thick bacon begs to close up those arteries! Glad you enjoyed it

Does the alternative take have less calories? :-) Fine work, Michael. I like the insistent electric piano and the sax and muted trumpet sound great. The drums just seemed a bit less convincing to me, though. Perhaps not quite as natural sounding as all the rest of the instruments? Just a side order, though. I enjoyed the main meal. Thanks, Peter.

Thanks!
Much appreciated. Interestingly, the drums are the only audio files in the piece - probably a bit different though in the mix since everything else is MIDI and goes through slightly different processing. Could also be the combination of drums/fills I used. Glad you liked it overall.
